Concentrating on the development of colonial psychiatry, and its influence on colonial discourses and practices, I show how Dutch dealings with the Atjeh-moorden were, simultaneously, part and parcel of the construc- tion of an Acehnese subject, and indicative of the administrative ambivalence found in the approach of the colonial state toward violence and criminality.     Risk factors analysis of Haji pilgrimage embarking from Indonesia in 2007 Ratna Dilliana Sagala 44th International Course in Health Development (ICHD) September 24, 2007 – September 12, 2008 KIT (Royal Tropical Institute) Development Policy & Practice/ Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam 1 Introduction I have been working in Port Health Office (PHO) Medan of North Sumatera Province, Indonesia since 1 December 2002. Port Health Office is a central government organization which functions to prevent the spreading of diseases through port areas including: seaport, airport and land crossing. The tasks of PHO are: to prevent quarantine diseases, prevent outbreak potential disease, quarantine; port limited health services and environment risk control, maintain epidemiology networking on international, national and regional level , facilitate and advocacy on health in emergency including hajj (Moslem pilgrimage to Mecca) health, facilitate and advocacy on occupational health and safety in port areas and ground crossing, conduct vessel sanitation examination, information system management and health networking in port areas and land crossing. As part of the PHO officer my professional tasks were: managing the vector control activities, ensuring environmental sanitation is executed according to the standard, and supervision of management information system. Since 2004, I worked as operator of Siskohatkes (computerized hajj health information system) in Port Health Post (PHP) Medan during the annual pilgrimage period. I have attended some short training on epidemiology, where as in August 1 2007, I was appointed as an epidemiologist. The main objective of this study is to analyze the risk factors of hajj pilgrimage of the pilgrims that embarking from Indonesia in 2007. The study will describe the preventive and curative intervention provided before and during the hajj pilgrimage.

Malaysian pilgrims August 11, 2021 were previously misclassified as Javanese due to oversimplification of the officers in charge before the 1920s. Nevertheless, Bruneian Revised: pilgrims might interrelate with the same problem as they shared June 12, 2021 the same hajj routes. The Malayan Pilgrimage Commissioner was responsible in handling the pilgrims from Brunei, Federation of Malaya, Sarawak, North Borneo, and Singapore during the pilgrimage season in Mecca at the time. Even though the Malayan Pilgrimage Commissioner eliminated the misclassification of Malaysian pilgrims, Bruneian pilgrims continued to be enumerated together with pilgrims from Malaysia under the rubric of ‘Malay Pilgrims’. Primary and secondary research method are conducted for this article where various primary and secondary sources related to the administration of hajj in Brunei from 1906 until 1954 are used. This article discusses the roles and duties of the British Residents, local officers, Malayan Pilgrimage Commissioner, Medical Officers, and Sheikh Haji (Hajj Sheikh) in the hajj administration of the pilgrims from Brunei.
