The 22-year old native of Tampere, Finland leads the NHL's forwards in average TOI (22:28). TROCHECK IT OUT Pittsburgh, Pa., native Vincent Trocheck enters tonight's game leading the Panthers with 13 goals and ranks first on the club with 34 points. Trocheck has posted 12 points (4-8-12) over his last 11 games played and owns a three-game point streak (1-2-3). The 24-year old leads the Panthers in shots (115), averaging 3.29 shots per-game, while owning a 53.8 win percentage overall in the faceoff circle. Matheson tallied his first career OT game-winning goal and his first goal of the season on Dec. 11 at DET. He enters tonight's game with goals in two of his last three games. He earned his third goal of the season by clinching the game for Florida on Dec. 19 at ARI. Over the span of the road trip, the 23-year old native of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, tallied the most goals on the team.

SAINT NICK Nick Bjugstad scored his ninth goal of the season on Dec. 19 at ARI. The 25-year old native of Minneapolis, Minn., has registered all nine of his goals at even strength this season, the most even-strength goals on the Panthers. On Dec. 17 at VGK, Bjugstad posted his eighth assist of the season and 146th career point, passing Tomas Fleischmann for sole possession of 18th in franchise history for points.

YOU CAN'T YANDLE THIS Reaching eighth all-time in consecutive games played during the 2016-17 season, Keith Yandle is set to play in his 669th consecutive game tonight. Yandle is 12 consecutive games shy of passing Henrik Sedin (679) for seventh all-time. The 31-year old native of Boston, Mass., enters tonight's contest ranking first among FLA's defensemen in points (3-17-20) and power-play points (0-7-7), while leading the club in total TOI (866:31). Yandle's assist on Dec. 22 vs. MIN, marked his 350th helper.

Prior to joining the Panthers, Boughner, 46, served as an assistant coach for San Jose for two seasons (2015-17) and helped the Sharks advance to the postseason twice and the Stanley Cup Final in 2016. He also previously served as assistant coach for Columbus (2010-11).

The native of Windsor, Ont., is the owner and president of the Windsor Spitfires (OHL). He served as head coach of the Windsor Spitfires (OHL, 2006-10, 2011-15) winning two consecutive J. Ross Robertson Cups and Memorial Cups (2009, 2010). He was named the OHL and CHL Coach of the Year in 2007-08 and 2008-09.

LAST GAME: Dec. 21, 4-3 SO loss at Tampa Bay: The Lightning overcame three one-goal deficits before scoring the only two goals of the shootout in improving to 8-1-0 in their last nine games via a 4-3 win over Ottawa at Amalie Arena. Ryan, Ceci and Brassard (who tallied the night's lone power-play marker) provided the Senators with leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 respectively but Tampa Bay tied the game on each occasion courtesy markers from Killorn, Gourde and Namestnikov. Kucherov earned two assists for the Lightning to become the first NHL player to reach the 50-point plateau this season. Point and then Stamkos converted shootout attempts while Vasilevskiy stopped Ottawa's two attempts after making 18 saves through regulation and overtime to help Tampa Bay to victory. COACH BOUCHER: A native of Notre-Dame-du-Lac, Que., Guy Boucher made his NHL head coaching debut in a 5-3 Tampa Bay home win over Atlanta on 10/9/10. He ultimately served two-plus seasons at the Lightning helm, guiding Tampa Bay to within one victory of the Stanley Cup Final in his first season (he duplicated the feat in his first season with Ottawa in 2016-17). Hired as the 12th head coach in Senators franchise history by general manager Pierre Dorion on 5/8/16, Boucher has 152 NHL head coaching victories to his credit, including 55 with Ottawa which sees him rank sixth (Martin - 341, MacLean - 114, Murray - 107, Clouston - 95, Cameron - 70) in franchise history.

FOURTH SEASON AS CAPTAIN FOR EK65: Erik Karlsson was appointed the ninth captain in Senators franchise history on 10/2/14. A native of Landsbro, Sweden, Karlsson succeeded Jason Spezza who served in the role in 2013-14. CEC IS CLIMBING THE RANKS: Cody Ceci became the eighth defenceman in Senators history to score a 25th goal for the club as he moved into a tie for seventh place with Jason York by way of helping Ottawa to a 2-1 second period lead in Thursday's eventual 4-3 shootout loss at Tampa Bay.
