Expressions allowed on the bottles: For „Oltalom alatt álló eredetmegjelölés” OEM wines (Wine with protected denomination of origin PDO) the following expressions can also be used: 1. Védett eredetű Classicus bor 2. Védett eredetű Superior bor 3. Védett eredetű Grand Superior bor 4. Any variety names, traditional expressions, fantasy names or names expressing colour of the wine cannot be appeared with more stressed letter type than the mark of protected origin. 5. At Superior wines the name Egri Bikavér is completed to be Egri Bikavér Superior, at Grand Superior wines the name Egri Bikavér is completed to be Egri Bikavér Grand Superior with same letter type. 6. The traditional expression “Bikavér” can only be appearad on wines harvested from the following areas: Andornaktálya, Demjén, Eger, Egerbakta, Egerszalók, Egerszólát, Felsőtárkány, Kerecsend, Maklár, Nagytálya, Noszvaj, Novaj, Ostoros and Szomolya production site caster 1st and 2nd class. Moreover Verpelét settlement Cinege, Közép –bérc, Ördöngös, Öreg-hegy, Padok, Szirák Crues and Dobi tető Cru in Tarnaszentmária. 7. It is obligatory to use the traditional “Egri” form of the Protected denomination of origin Eger in front of the word “Bikavér” with same font, color and size. 8. Bull’s figure, head or any other visual interpretation of bull, also foreign language translation of “Bikavér” (Bull’s blood) can only be labeled for Classicus, Superior or Grand superior Egri Bikavér wines. Exception is the illustration refers to the head of a bull on the trademark of Egri Borvidék (Eger Wine Region). 9. Star figure or any kind of visual interpretation or foreign language translation of the word “Csillag” (Star) can only be labelled for Classicus, Superior or Grand superior Egri Csillag wines. 10. In case of blending, it is allowed to appear grape variety names on label if it is minimum 5% in the blend. The letter size of grape variety name can be 1/5th of the size of letter size of the origin. 11. Indication of the vintage is obligatory. 12. At Grand Superior wines it is obligatory to mark the Name of the Cru. 13. Indication of Settlements: 1. Can be marked on all Classicus, Superior and Grand Superior wines, all categories 2. 85% have to be originated from the nominated vineyard 3. Settlement names can be identified such as: Aldebrő, Andornaktálya, Demjén, Eger, Egerbakta, Egerszalók, Egerszólát, Feldebrő, Felsőtárkány, Kerecsend, Maklár, Nagytálya, Noszvaj, Novaj, Ostoros, Szomolya, Tarnaszentmária, Tófalu and Verpelét 14. Indication of Crues: 1. Only on Grand Superior wines 2. 95% have to be originated from the nominated vineyard 3. The Settlement on the the label must be marked 15. Grape variety indication: 1. Only selected varieties can be indicated 16. Superior and Grand Superior wines moreover classicus Egri Csillag and Egri Bikavér blends can only be distributed in glass bottles. Others in glass bottles or bag in box. 17. Wine can be bottled in bottling plants registered by EBHT, Counsel of Eger Wine Community. 18. First date of distribution : 1. Classicus Bikavér: 1st September of the following year of harvest 2. Superior Bikavér: 1st November of the following year of harvest 3. Grand Superior Bikavér: 1st November of the following year of harvest.
