Spring 2016 Harvard Extension School Study Supporter $100 Gift Card Prize Drawing OFFICIAL RULES NO PURCHASE OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. 1. SPONSOR — The Study Supporter $100 Gift Card Prize Drawing (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by Harvard Kennedy School of Government (the “Sponsor”). 2. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY — No purchase or payment is necessary to participate and win the Promotion. 3. ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS — Any student, who is enrolled at Harvard Extension School and registers for the prize drawing by January 30, 2017 is eligible to participate (“Participants”) in the Promotion. The winner of the prize will be determined in a drawing conducted by Sponsor between February 1, 2017 and March 30, 2017 (the “Drawing Date”). By participating in the Promotion, Participants are deemed to have fully and unconditionally agreed to and accepted these Official Rules. Employees, independent contractors, officers, members of governing boards, affiliates, and subsidiaries of Harvard University, Harvard Extension School, and any advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies involved in the Promotion, and immediate family members of each, are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. 4. HOW TO ENTER — To enter, register for the Harvard Extension School Study Supporter Program. Registration forms are available at: https://harvard.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_6DtlRdsDkJG2PBP 5. PRIZE AWARDED — Winner will receive a $100.00 Amazon Gift Card (the “Prize”). The Prize is not transferrable. 6. ODDS OF WINNING — Odds of winning a Prize depend on the total number of Participants and are estimated at 1:100. 7. WINNER NOTIFICATION — Within fourteen (14) days of the Drawing Date, Sponsor will the notify winner by e-mail or text message (the “Notification Date”). 8. ACCEPTANCE OF PRIZE, RELEASE & ADVERTISEMENT — Sponsor shall provide winner an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release (the “Affidavit & Release”). Sponsor must receive the winner’s executed Affidavit & Release within fourteen (14) days of the Notification Date. Failure to provide Sponsor with the Affidavit & Release within 14 days will result in forfeiture of Prize in which case Sponsor will conduct a separate drawing to determine an alternative winner. Prize will be mailed to the winner within 8-10 weeks from receipt by Sponsor of the executed Affidavit & Release. Execution of the Affidavit & Release and acceptance of a Prize constitutes the winner’s permission for Sponsor to disclose winner’s name to other Participants. After April 1, 2017, participants may contact Sponsor for the name of the winner. 9. TAXES & FEES — All taxes, fees, and surcharges for the Prize and all expenses not explicitly included in the description of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. 10. DISQUALIFICATION & FORFEITURE OF PRIZE — The winner shall be disqualified and his Prize shall be forfeited if (i) the winner declines to accept the Prize, (ii) Sponsor is unable to accomplish winner notification within 14 days of the Drawing Date, (iii) the winner fails to provide Sponsor with the Affidavit & Release within 14 days of the Notification Date, or (iv) Sponsor, in its sole discretion, determines the winner is disqualified for any reason in violation of these rules, including but not limited to tampering or acting in a disruptive manner in connection with the Harvard Extension School Study Supporter Program or the Promotion. In the event of disqualification and forfeiture of the Prize, Sponsor will conduct a separate drawing to determine an alternative winner. 11. DISCLAIMER OF RESPONSIBILITY — Neither Harvard University, its agents, nor Harvard Extension School shall be responsible for (i) lost, late, undelivered or misdirected mail or e-mail; (ii) computer software or hardware malfunctions or failures of any kind; or (iii) lost or unavailable computer, cable, or telephone network connections, or failed, incomplete, or delayed computer or telephone transmissions of any kind, including those that result from any type of human error. 12. GOVERNING LAW & REMEDIES — The Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law. The laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts govern the Promotion, without giving effect to any choice of law rules thereof. Sponsor and Participants agree that: (i) any judicial proceeding for disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of the Promotion shall take place in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; (ii) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred, including any costs deemed related to participation in the Promotion, but in no event shall any damages include attorneys fees; and (iii) except for out-of-pocket expenses, under no circumstances shall a Participant be entitled or permitted to obtain an award for punitive, incidental, or consequential damages or any other damages, and each Participant hereby waives any and all rights to any such damages. 13. PRIVACY — Submission of personal and contact information in connection with the Promotion shall adhere to the requirements of the Harvard Extension School Study Supporter Program. 14.
