We want to thank you, our dedicated consignors and buyers who have relied on HDH and returned season after season, building great collections and offering remarkable cellars. HDH continues to be the #1 auction house in America and is the largest single auction venue in the world. In our four auctions of the fi rst half of 2015, we offered nearly 8,000 lots from hundreds of faithful consignors and realized over $20M in live sales, breaking many records along the way. We believe strongly in our focus on service, provenance and quality. Our team is the most experienced in the industry and we are proud to bring you auctions and retail offerings of Paul Hart consistently high quality. CEO We were thrilled to see our strongest fi rst half ever for HDH retail. Many buyers came to us for the Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. fi rst time for their retail needs and shopped our vast selection of wines from nearly every region. Bordeaux clearly lead the way, accounting for 54% of sales, built in part upon strong and highly sought ex-Châteaux and ex-negociant offerings. Our retail sales are up over 27% this year and we are looking forward to continued growth in the second half of 2015. Our retail wines are inspected by the same team as our auction wines, using the same strict standards and cataloguing procedures. We launched our groundbreaking new bidding platform in March, and we saw hundreds of bidders logon and utilize the new technology. In addition to our new app, bidders can use the web-based system at auction.hdhwine.com to enter and change bids, follow favorite lots and participate in our live auctions in real time. Many clients have reported that the fast and accurate bidding and detailed information on the new bidding platform make for the best bidding experience in the industry. Our September 18-19 auction is full of quality and diversity from over 60 consignments, including some of the fi nest cellars in the country. The sale includes over 50 lots of 1982 Bordeaux, 84 lots of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, 34 lots of Screaming Eagle and 74 lots of Sine Qua Non to name just a few. Other highlights include two remarkable Burgundy-focused cellars. The cellar of a longtime friend of HDH and legendary collector (lots 1128-1256) includes a bevy of top producers including Romanée-Conti and Dujac from this exceptional collection held in a cold and humid cellar. An additional top cellar comes to us from another well-known collector and repeat consignor. Lots 1257-1487 represents a high quality Burgundy library featuring Jadot, Leroy, Rouget, along with other top producers, all removed from ideal cellar conditions. Bordeaux highlights are easy to spot, with a remarkable parcel of Pétrus (lots 1496-1501) among other gems from a top quality cellar (lots 1488-1527) that includes an eight-bottle lot of 1990 Vosne-Romanée, Cros Parantoux, Jayer. Two comprehensive well-stored offerings start the fi rst session: lots 1-160 and 306-494. We hope that you will join us at TRU for this special auction.
