All students are responsible for getting a College Student Visa prior to entering U.S Once they have been nominated by APU, the UHD Office of Study Abroad will send J1 Visa application to complete. Students are strictly required to leave the U.S after completion of their intended study period at UHD.

HEALTH

Texas law requires that all entering students under the age of 22 provide a certificate signed by a health care provider or an official immunization record verifying that a student has been vaccinated against bacterial meningitis, or has received a booster during the five years prior to registration.

ACADEMIC INFORMATION

Driving Exchange students can rent cars if over the age of 21. Employment Part-time jobs are sometimes available within the university. Office of Study Abroad can sign post students to potential on campus positions.
