Radhakrishna Murthy presented a copy (in English and Hindi) each of the Thirty-eighth and Thirty-ninth Reports of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Environment and Forest : (i) on demonstration by Shri P. STATEMENT OF THE DEPARTMENT-RELATED STANDING COMMITTEE ON AGRI- CULTURE. Dr. Ranbir Singh laid on the Table a copy (in English and Hindi) of the statement showing Action Taken by the Government on the recommendations contained in Chapter - I and final replies of Chapter V of the 32nd Action Report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture (Tenth ) on Demands for Grants 1995-96, relating to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education. 7. REPORT AND MINUTES OF DEPARTMENTRELATED PARLIAMENTARY STANDING COMMITTEE ON LABOUR AND WELFARE. Shri Bangaru Laxman laid on the Table a copy each (in English and Hindi) of the Third Report and Minutes of the Standing Committee on Labour and Welfare on Special Central Assistance to Special Component Plan for Scheduled Castes. 8. MESSAGE FROM THE LOK SABHA The Uttar Pradesh Appropriation (No. 2) Bill, 1996 Secretary-General reported to the House the following message received from the Lok Sabha signed by the Secretary-General of the Lok Sabha : "In accordance with the provisions of rule 96 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha, I am directed to enclose the Uttar Pradesh Appropriation (No. 2) Bill, 1996 as passed by Lok Sabha at its sitting held on the 18th December, 1996. 2. The Speaker has certified that this Bill is a Money Bill. " 9. CALLING ATTENTION TO MATTER OF URGENT PUBLIC IMPORTANCE Shri Dipankar Mukherjee called the attention of the Minister of Industry to the situation arising out of the disinvestment) of profit making Central Public Sector Units and non revival of sick Central Public Sector Units due to lack of financial support and timely decisions. Shri Murasoli Maran (Minister of Industry) made a statement. Thereafter, Members sought clarifications on the Statement. Shri Murasoli Maran replied to the clarifications. 11. STATEMENT BY MINISTER Shri Ramakant D. Khalap (Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of Law & Justice) made a statement on the situation arising out of the High Court judgement regarding imposition of the President's Rule in Uttar Pradesh. Thereafter, Member sought clarifications on the statement. Shri Ramakant D. Khalap replied to the clarifications. 12. MESSAGE FROM THE LOK SABHA The Appropriation (Railways) No. 4 Bill, 1996 Secretary-General reported to the House the following message received from the Lok Sabha signed by the Secretary-General of the Lok Sabha. "In accordance with the provisions of rule 96 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha, I am directed to enclose the Appropriation (Railways) No. 4 Bill, 1996, as passed by Lok Sabha at its sitting held on the 18th December, 1996. 2.
