Green Caviar. the Pond of Green Caviar Has Been Cultivated Green Caviar Extract Concept Board Moisturizing Anti-Oxidant Anti-wrinkle Introduction Common name Green caviar Latin name Caulerpa Lentillifera INCI name Caulerpa Lentillifera Extract Anti-oxidative effect, Moisturizing effect, Biological Effect Anti-inflammation effect Caulerpa lentillifera is one of the favored species of marine plant due to its soft and succulent texture. They are also known as sea grapes or green caviar. The pond of green caviar has been cultivated successfully in central Philippine. Raw material of RADIANT Inc is from Cebu Island. Introduction Green caviar contains a lot of minerals and vitamins. It effective for prevention of aging, obesity, high blood pressure. Because of calcium, iron, vitamin, mineral, It helps recover damaged skin give deep moisturizing effect. Also, green caviar contains high contents of amino acids acting like collagen which effective for skin elasticity. Marine resource After washing green caviar, it is usually eaten raw with vinegar or as a salad mixed with chopped onions, tomatoes and fish and dressed with a blend fish sauce in Japan, green caviar is used for shousi. It is known to be rich in iodine which is good for blood circulation and refreshment. Amino acids in Green Caviar Green caviar contains high amount of Essential amino acids non-essential amino acids. Collagen was generated by amino acids and transforms into skin cell and keeps moisturizing, inhibits free radicals and collagen's over increase resulted aging and protects the skin against harmful environment. Among amino acids, especially arginine and proline is essential amino acid can’t be made in the body and have important and valuable effect on skin regeneration and elasticity. This study was conducted to determine the appro- priate density of sea grape (Caulerpa lentillifera) in polyculture with whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in the same culture tank. Five treatments were randomly designed in triplicate tanks where shrimp was monocultured (without sea grape) as a control treatment and four polyculture treatments with different seaweed density levels (0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2 kg m−3) for 56 days. Caulerpa lentillifera (green seagrape) is a grass-green in color, with a soft and succulent texture characterized by thallus consisting of long horizontal stolons with a few rhizoidal branches below, and many erect grapelike branches above. Seagrape is well-known for its rapid spoilage and short shelf life and the quality of seagrapes is often determined by its size with turgor pressure and bright green color. This means that picking methods and post harvest handling and storage conditions may also contribute to the shelf-life. Seagrape is one of species considered as key factor in aquaculture in Central coastal region of Vietnam. As a new cultivating species, there was not much studies mentioned to technical factors affecting to its biomass during cultivation. Moreover, owing to its short shelf life, it’s necessary to investigate an appropriate strategy to maintain its quality during storage. Therefore this study focused on parameters influencing to the cultivation (including the effect of salinity and nutrient level) and post-harvest (including the effect of washing, blanching and preserving of seagrape under different conditions).
