With the current pandemic, the Penobscot Bay YMCA has decided to cancel the live auction and instead sell our boat inventory. The inventory catalog can be found on the Y’s website and our Facebook page.

As offers on boats are received, they will be considered. · The Boat Auction Committee has determined a fair “asking price” for each boat. · If interested in looking at a boat please call the Y @ 236.3375 to make an appointment. · If you want to make an offer on a boat, please email the offer along with your name, mailing address and phone number to: [email protected]. · The Committee will review and decide whether or not to accept the offer. · If the offer secures the purchase of a boat, payment must be received before the sale is final. Once the sale is cleared, the boat can be picked up. · If the payment is not received or doesn’t clear - other offers will be considered and accepted.

Boats may be picked up during the Y’s operating hours: Monday through Saturday. Please notify the Y before picking up the boat @ 236.3375.

• The Y will not be responsible for any boat left on the property. • Items left after 7 days from the date of purchased will be treated as abandoned property and forfeited to the Y. • Additionally, a buyer can not leave their boat on the Y premises to sell their boat to potential buyers.

The Y will accept the following forms of payment: • Visa or Mastercard • Cash or Check: all checks are subject to clearance from your bank.

Once the full payment is received and/or cleared, please make arrangements to pick up the boat WITHIN ONE WEEK or the boat becomes the property of the Y.

NO REFUNDS • ALL SALES ARE FINAL

All boats have been donated, as is, to the Y. The Y has limited knowledge of the condition of the boats and has shared that information with the boat description. The Y is not able to accept any responsibility for the condition of the items sold. 2

The Y reserves the right to sell a boat, at its sole discretion, if making such a sale would benefit the Y.

There are no Boats for sale “on consignment.” All items have been donated to the Y and do not involve third parties.

BUYER’S NOTICE When the Y has been informed or discovers relevant information about a boat or an engine, we will share that information. But we do not guarantee the condition or the accuracy of information reported about any boat or item.

The asking prices are only guidelines; however, they tend to be lower than average for similar boats being offered elsewhere at this time.

3 OUR CURRENT FLEET 1975 ALLIED GREENWICH 24’ “Aloha” 1 Asking Price: $1,500

This Allied fiberglass was built in 1975, has a full and rig configuration. The standing is serviceable and has a main . The 2009 Nissan 4 stroke 6hp gas engine was last serviced 2 years ago.

1977 BOSTON WHALER HARPOON 17’ Asking Price: $3,000 2

This is a great 5.2 daysailer and has a big enough cockpit with ample storage space to also be a day cruiser. It has an up and down center board with steering. The sailboat has sloop rigging which is serviceable and has a working and main sail. It sits on a 1977 Boston Whaler trailer in good condition. A great little boat for a beginner sailor.

Old Town Tandem Kayak Asking Price: $600 3

This kayak is a great two person kayak. It tracks smoothly and goes through the water with little effort using paddles. It’s speedy with a lot of room inside. There is dry storage in the back (large) and in the front (small). There are two bungee cord paddle holders, one on either side, that holds the paddles when not in use.

From new entrants to seasoned experts, this Wilderness Systems kayak is designed to get you where you want to be. It is well-built, durable and extremely easy to steer.

Typhoon Kayak 10’ Asking Price: $75 5

The typhoon is an awesome recreational kayak. Super stable, comfy, easy to get in and out of with generous seating and leg space. It is long enough for good tracking and streamlined enough for pretty good speed. It is constructed with an integral high back moulded seat.

1979 HALMAN SAILBOAT 20’ “Miss Piggy” 6 Asking Price: $6,000

This fiberglass sailboat is great for any enthusiast built by the Halman Manufacturing Company in Beamsville, Ontario, Canada. The boat has a full keel with tiller steering and sloop rig configuration. The main and working jib are about 6 years old and made by Hallet. The is in serviceable condition.

1973 SABRE 28’ “Blue Loon” 7 Asking Price: $6,000

The fiberglass Sabre is a solid , perfect for a couple or small family. It is a fin keel, spade , sloop rig configuration with wheel steering. The rigging is serviceable and comes with the main, and sails made by Bayview in Yarmouth. This sailboat has an 1973 inboard Atomic Universal 30hp engine - last serviced in 2019. With a porta potty and a 30 gal. fresh water tank you are ready for any small adventure along the coastline! The owner shares, over the past few years the following was rebuilt or replaced: a new fuel tank, rebuilt, new and exhaust, carburetor rebuilt, deck fittings re-bedded, heads removed and cleaned, new -foot main and genoa.

5 1995 EDDYLINE WIND DANCER KAYAK 17’ Asking Price: $825 8

This fiberglass Wind Dancer sea kayak is stable and well built. Its long water line gives it speed and allows it to track well. A moderate to high-volume boat which can be used on anything from weekends to longer expeditions. Comes with a spray skirt and paddles.

1981 CAPE DORY TYPHOON 19’ “Summer Daze” 9 Asking Price: $4,000

This fiberglass Cape Dory sloop has a full keel, tiller steering, and serviceable rigging. The 1968 Johnson 6hp outboard was serviced in March 2019. Sails include main and working jib which are about 6-7 years old. Additionally, there is a solar charging bilge pump installed 5 years ago. The hull below the water line was gel-coated and repainted about 10 years ago. The exhaust system and carburetor was rebuilt last year as well.

1957 THOMPSON RUNABOUT 17’ “Elsie B” 10 Asking Price: $2,500

This is a classic Thompson Brothers wood skiff power runabout with extensive work done in 2006. This boat features varnished bright work, classic color scheme, and mahogany . It comes with a Gator trailer. There is no outboard motor.

1976 ’ “Anything Goes 18” 11 Asking Price: $5,000

This fiberglass sailboat has full keel, rudder, and roller furler with one year old standing rigging from Bohndell Sails in Rockport. The main and genoa sails were cleaned and are approximately 5 years old. There is a new battery and a 2008 Yamaha four stroke 8hp gas outboard engine, last serviced in October 2019. 6 HOBIE CAT Asking Price: $1,500 12

The Hobie’s fiberglass beach-launchable has revolutionized sailing. This Hobie Cat comes with an H18 trampoline, white vinyl set with 1 set for starboard side, purchased in 2017. Plus a line kit and a Mama Bob mast float to aid in prevention of turtling, also purchased in 2017.

1979 MOLLY BROWN TENDER 10’ Asking Price: $1,500 13

The Molly Brown is a fiberglass yacht tender with a kick-up center board keel type, Sliding Gunter Rig configuration and serviceable rigging. It has a main sail about 5 years old. It was last in the water in the fall of 2019. There is a 1967 Gator Model 126 trailer in okay condition.

1982 AUXILARY SLOOP 23’ “Dutch Treat” 14 Asking Price: $3,500

This fiberglass sloop is very clean and well cared for. She was built by V.D. Rest Nautic b.v. Kats Holland in the Netherlands. There is a Yanmar one cylinder diesel engine last serviced in 2019. This boat comes with autopilot which is a piston-like piece that attaches to the tiller and will keep the boat moving on whatever course the person sets. Also there is a relatively new and three , one of the jibs is only a year old and the other two in good condition, all of them cleaned and stored over the winter. The mast and rigging are also in very good shape.

NECKY ESKIA SEA KAYAK 16’ Asking Price: $850 15

Necky Kayaks is one of the oldest North American sea kayak manufacturers, producing sea kayaks since the mid-1970s. A very comfortable and capable sea kayak popular with tour outfitters. Accommodatingly large cockpit fits larger paddlers. Solid stability provides reassuring ride for beginners, plus a stable platform for anglers, nature viewers and photographers. Excellent tracking. Excels in wind or choppy seas.

NECKY LOOKSHA IV SEA KAYAK 17’ Asking Price: $850 16

The Looksha IV is an exceptional boat with a solid design. The boat handles well in rough and windy conditions. With the double chines, even 90 degree turns are one stroke away. It has a quick takeoff, maintains speed, and is comfortable for paddling for days/weeks.

WILDERNESS PAMLICO 14.5’ TANDEM KAYAK 17 Asking Price: $750

This Wilderness Systems Pamlico 145T is the best-selling Pamlico series of tandem kayaks. It features a signature rounded hull that delivers swift acceleration, helping you paddle longer distances faster, as well as the easiest entry and loading of any boat in its class

CLEARWATER AFFINITY 8.6 Asking Price: $150 18

The Affinity 8.6 is a great starter kayak - easy to transport. They maneuver easily and feel very stable.

RAYMARINE NAVIGATION SYSTEM Asking Price: $1,500 19

This top of the line Raymarine navigation system is an older model. Its working system has add-ons for satellite, radio, radar and GPS. The donor removed it from the boat to upgrade their navigation system.

HAULER 8’ Asking Price: $750 20

This is a Canadian 8’ centerboard sailing or towing dinghy. It can be sailed, rowed, or powered by a small 2.5hp motor (not included). It is complete with a mast, , sail seat, and oars. There are two sets of sails, two complete with and even life preservers and foul weather gear. This equipment has been stored in a custom Sunbrella storage case.

1974 CAPE DORY TYPHOON 19’ “ALLEGRO” 21 Asking Price: $4,500

This weekender Cape Dory sloop has a porthole on each side, keel fiberglass has main, jib, and genoa sails. The 2015 Tohatsu 3.5 four-stroke outboard gas motor has about 25 hours on it and last serviced in 2017.
