FALL 2012 #49 2 The FRONTIER NEWS is published quarterly and dedicated to ex-employees, friends, family and fans of the “old” Frontier Airlines which “died” on August 24, 1986 and was “buried” on May 31, 1990. It is a non-profit operation. All income goes into keeping the NEWS going. Opinions expressed in this newsletter are those of the author and not the editor or the publication. Publishing dates are October for Fall, January for Winter, April for Spring and July for Summer. Articles and photos are welcomed and subject to editing and space requirements. We cannot pay for such items but will give credit as appropriate. All submissions should deal with the “old” Frontier Airlines. We had about 30 FLolks gather for the 45th year FYV and FSM -Carolyn Boller have had a FL picnic. It has been a reunion the past 26 years. Those attending included Harold Maxwell, Phil Green, Ed Jones, Bill Guthrie, Rusty Lambert, Bill Mertens, Ralph Beecham, Paul Farris, Jack Chambers, Joe Keys, Darwin Haudrich, Noel Hollo- man, Ben Pacheco, John Wiley, Bob Ostrom, Rod Downey, Charley Jones and Jake Lamkins. We had a moment of silence after reading off the names of those from FYV and FSM who have flown west. Hogan, 93, formerly of South Yarmouth MA, passed away Thursday, January 7th, 2010 at Bradford Ecumenical Home. Born July 20, 1916, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Edward H. and Margaret (Purcell) Hogan. A 1934 graduate of St. Bernard High School, he received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from St. Bonaven- ture University in 1949, and his master's degree in Taxation from the Graduate Tax Program at the University of Denver in 1972.
