The managing director of Gluy- as Motoring Group, Peter Gluyas, said 47 per cent of local motorists own utes and they’ll be penalised in two years’ time because their vehicles won’t meet emission standards. He said utes are essential on rural properties and the farm- ing community can’t do without them. “The ute market is a tool of trade and farmers require them to get round their farms and tow trailers,” Gluyas said.

The move leaves the club searching for a place to stage 30 home games without spectators, with Toronto’s season opener on Friday at Tampa Bay and the first home game set for July 29 against reigning World Series champion Washington. The Blue Jays were given permission to stage pre-sea- son workouts at their retractable-domed ballpark, Rogers Centre. But having clubs from across the United States visit without two-week quarantines was too great a risk to approve, said Marco Mendicino, Canada’s min- ister of immigration, refugees and citizenship. “Regular-season games would require repeated cross-border travel of Blue Jays players and staff, as well as opponent teams into and out of Canada,” Mendicino said in a statement. “Of particular concern, the Toronto Blue Jays would be required to play in locations where the risk of virus transmission remains high. “Based on the best-available public health advice, we have concluded the cross-border travel required for MLB regular season play would not adequately protect Canadians’ health and safety. “As a result, Canada will not be issuing a National Interest Exemption for the MLB’s regular season at this time.” Mendicino held out hope the Blue Jays could stage playoff games in Toronto in late September and October if they advance and if the virus is less widespread in the United States.

It is going to make her heart whole again. Shiloh, 10 months old, was born with two holes in her heart, and one side of her heart bigger than the other. Valentine’s Day today is also known as Little Heart Day, for the 12 babies born every week in New Zealand with a heart defect. Her parents Charlotte and Neil McMillan will be based in Auckland at Ronald McDonald House for a month as their daughter recovers in Starship Hospital. With this in mind the premier side will look to cap off what plans to be a wonderful weekend with a victory over Green Island. Harbour enter the clash as the form side, having knocked off Southern last week on the back of a huge defensive display. Expect Harbour to set the platform with their big forwards, before giving the ball some life and letting their dangerous backline including Harimate, Halaleva and Tomkinson run havoc. For Green Island, they’ll head to Watson Park full of optimism as they search for their first win of the campaign.
