General Manager – High Performance GENERAL MANAGER – HIGH PERFORMANCE Strategic, transformational opportunity within cricket Build a culture of excellence Work in a world-class facility A leading role in High Performance with domestic and international influence Cricket Tasmania is the administrative body for the game in Tasmania. It is responsible for the game development, high performance and growth of cricket to more than 40,000 participants in Tasmania. It also has key responsibility for the operation and promotion of Australia’s best boutique stadium, Blundstone Arena. Cricket Tasmania’s elite teams are the Tasmanian Tigers & Roar and the Hobart Hurricanes. The Hurricanes compete in both the Big Bash League (BBL) and WBBL, both of which are having a revolutionary impact on the Australian sporting landscape. The newly-created role of General Manager – High Performance is responsible for setting and overseeing the strategic direction of all High Performance within Cricket Tasmania. The role couples the professional management of Cricket Tasmania’s elite male and female teams with the delivery of world class player development from pathway to senior teams, ultimately driving the production of future Australian players. Directly reporting to the Cricket Tasmania CEO, you will have extensive experience in senior management within an elite sport including in player recruitment, list management and talent ID. All encompassed with exceptional leadership qualities. A passion for excellence is key as is a demonstrated track record of success in a competitive environment as a motivator of elite athletes, coaches and support staff. As a highly effective communicator and leader, the successful candidate will be energetic and resilient with an ability to influence at all levels. The Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund (ACIF) provides funding for community cricket facility projects, with a focus on growing participation and promoting accessibility and inclusivity. The ACIF will contribute more than $5.6 million per annum into community facility projects, representing Cricket’s largest ever commitment to infrastructure funding. The ACIF is open to all clubs, associations, schools, councils and cricket facility managers, acknowledging the important role that these partners play in providing facilities for community cricket across Australia. GRASSROOTS CRICKET FUND Australian cricketers love playing cricket. They are also passionate about giving back to the game that has given them so much. That is why they have provided $30 million of their own money to support grassroots cricket through the establishment of the Grassroots Cricket Fund. This fund will support initiatives that strengthen grassroots cricket across Australia and ensure that cricket clubs remain the lifeblood of their local communities.
