Opera and Ballet National Theater. Monument “Mother Armenia”. Panorama of Yerevan from a bird's-eye view. Cultural - architectural complex Cascade. The heart of Yerevan- Republic Square, a complex of government buildings. The Cathedral of St. Gregory. Railway station building, a monument to the hero of the legendary Armenian epic “Sasuntsi David”. Welcome dinner at a national restaurant. Overnight in Yerevan. DAY 2. LAKE SEVAN – MONASTERY ON THE PENINSULA – DILIJAN RESORT - ETHNOGRAPHIC STREET– MONASTERY HAGHARTSIN. Breakfast. A trip to Sevan - one of the most beautiful and largest alpine lakes in the world, is bordered from all sides by high mountain ridges. The area of the lake is 1240 km2, its water is fresh and clear. Visit to the Sevan Monastery in 874(AD) on the peninsula. Lunch at the local restaurant of the lake’s gifts, trip to Dilijan. Leaving Sevan behind and driving a three-kilometer tunnel, you can see the dense forests of Dilijan. The climate of Dilijan is mild and sunny, favorable for health; the air is filled with the breath of pine forests, rich with ozone. Stop in Dilijan, excursion along the ethnographic street. Rising along a narrow road to the wonderful Haghartsin monastery (10th century). Overnight in Yerevan. DAY 3. MATENADARAN- GARNI TEMPLE-GEGHARD MONASTERY. Breakfast. Visiting the exhibition hall of the Matenadaran Research Institute, acquaintance with samples of medieval manuscripts. On the way to Gegard, stop at the “Arch of Charents” with a magnificent view of the Biblical Ararat and the valley. A trip to the rocky monastery Geghard (5-13c), the tomb of the princes Proshyan. The monastery consists of a large aboveground temple and three churches hewn in solid rock. Around of hundreds of natural and artificial caves. In the church for many centuries kept the Holy Spear – by which was pierced the body of Christ on the cross. (Gegard - Spear). Now the Holy Spear is kept in the Echmiadzin Museum. Continuation of the journey to the pagan temple of Garni of the Hellenistic type (1 c), visit to the “Temple of the Sun” and the ancient royal bath, the only Hellenistic temple, surviving throughout the region. The temple is located on the edge of the picturesque gorge. Lunch and return to Yerevan. Free time. Overnight in Yerevan. DAY 4. KHOR VIRAP – ARENI – NORAVANK Breakfast. Visit to Ararat valley and one of the most revered shrines of the Armenian Church - Khor Virap monastery, where for many years the first patriarch of Armenia, St. Gregory the Illuminator, was imprisoned. The monastery is located 15 km from Mount Ararat; it is from here the best views of Mount Biblical Ararat are revealed. Excursion to the Armenian winery, with wine tasting. Areni Cave Tour 1. Lunch at the restaurant. Visit to one of the most beautiful monasteries of Armenia - Noravank (9 –14 c). Return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel. DAY 5. SHOPPING IN YEREVAN. ECHMIADZIN- DEPARTURE Breakfast. Visit the grocery market “Vernissage”. A trip to the First City of the Armenian Church - Echmiadzin. Examining the pearls of the Armenian architecture of St. Hripsime Church (618AD), and the world's first Christian Cathedral (303AD). Excursion to the unique museum and treasure of the Armenian Church (If will be open). Lunch and transfer to the airport. Departure. Hotel The price includes: Transfer airport ‘Zvartnots’ - Yerevan and back. Transport service on the route of the tour. Accommodation in double rooms in the specified hotels. Meals: for individuals: 4 breakfasts and Welcome dinner (Day 1). for groups: 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches (Days: 2, 3, 4, 5) and Welcome dinner (Day 1). Tours and services of a professional guide. The cost of entrance tickets to museums and on the territory of some attractions. 2 bottles of water per person during excursions. Taxes Notes: If you wish to visit our Ararat brandy factory, it will be additional $14 per person with a tasting of 2 types of brandy. The package is counted for the period of 01.03.19 to 31.10.19. For the period of 01.11.2019 to 28.02.2020 a discount will be provided for these tours upon request. Depending on the time of arrival and departure, the program can be changed and recalculated. The company may also apply for insurance, cost upon request, depending on the program. Child policy: For children up to 6 years old free of charge. From 6 to 12 years old, the cost of the tour is 50%, in case of living with parents. The tour can be changed depending on the flight time and is maximally adapted to your stay. The company has the right to change the sequence of the program, while maintaining all points of visits to the tour. According to your desire, the directions of excursions can be changed.
