Volunteer enquires – [email protected] Happy tails - [email protected] BOXING DAY AND NEW YEARS DAY WALK AT NCAR TRELOGAN - 1PM 2018 EVENTS We always have a wonderful tradition of having a festive walk over the Christmas period. Last year we had them on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but as this event has become so popular we have decided to Easter Open Day change it to a Boxing day and New Years day walk. Good Friday 30th March This is a lovely walk for you and the NCAR dogs and we go on a circular route around the beautiful village of Llanasa and Trelogan. We call for a pit stop and refreshments in Llanasa. If you would like to join in the walks Sponsored Dog Walk then please email us on [email protected] and book yourself on to the walks. We can find a home for almost anything! So... if you are clearing out your wardrobes or redecorating your home and have unwanted items in good condition - Please think of us! We would be grateful for any of the following donations to help us raise funds for the animals at the rescue... Clothing Books and media (CDs and DVDs) Bric-A-Brac and household items Linens and electricals Jewellery and branded items Coats, shoes and bags Our shops are located in Abergele, Denbigh, Holywell, Mold and Prestatyn Thank you in advance! CHRISTMAS CARDS We now have a selection of lovely animal Christmas cards on sale in our charity shops, reception, cafe and online shop - these are in packs of 10 cards and we 20 YEARS PAT STOKES have 4 designs to choose from - £3.50 per pack This September marked 20 years of volunteering at the rescue for Pat Stokes. She started volunteering in our rabbit section, back when there were as many rabbits NCAR CALENDAR at the rescue as there were dogs! Over the years, she has seen many rabbits and We are proud to launch our beautiful 2018 NCAR guinea pigs come and go, and has adopted quite a few of them herself! She is a Calendar, these are now on sale for just £5 and fountain of knowledge and has many stories to tell about our current and past they include many current and ex residents of residents. We also have a selection of Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten free foods available too - so there is something for everyone to enjoy. We are always looking for volunteers to help us out - so if you have a spare few hours each week and would like to join a very friendly team and volunteer in Doris’s Bunker then please come along and get involved. Full training is given so don’t panic and if you enjoy a friendly relaxed atmosphere with people who love animals then this maybe the place for you, so why not give it a go! NORTH CLWYD FOUNDED IN 1981 REGISTERED CHARITY NO: 515195 ANIMAL RESCUE NEWSLETTER LOCATED IN BEAUTIFUL NORTH WALES WINTER 2017 TV APPEARANCE Earlier this year NCAR got the chance to feature on a Channel 4 TV programme called “Animal Rescue Live” Our lovely Casper the big softy American Bull dog featured on the Live programme with the presenters Steve Jones and the Super vet Noel Fitzpatrick. It was a fantastic opportunity for many rescues to feature their amazing animals, and we saw an increase of adoptions from the programme. We are now pleased that Casper has found a loving home. VOLUNTEER AT FROM:MARK FROM:LYNN I find myself working and not able to commit to owning a dog. I always loved I lost my beautiful border collie ‘Sheba’ 10 years ago, I adopted her from NCAR having dogs and other animals. So I decided that my time could be best spent 10 years previously and I was heartbroken when she went. I was not ready to helping North Clwyd Animal Rescue. have another dog so I decided to Volunteer. This is the best thing I ever did, I love the animals and the staff. I have learned so much over the years of how to care My son and I had our inductions and off we went to meet the dogs.
