The London Gazette, Srd November 1970 12133 THE LONDON GAZETTE, SRD NOVEMBER 1970 12133 for example, a registration of land as common land made before 1st July 1968 and not objected to before 1st October 1970, will have become final and definitive on the latter date, but if registrations of rights over that land, or claims to ownership thereof, are made after 30th June 1968, objections to such registrations can be made in the objection period now current. Every objection which is not rejected is noted on the register as soon as possible after receipt, and particulars are sent by the Registration Authority to the person (if any) on whose application the registration was made, and to certain other persons directly interested m the registration. In addition, copies of register entries of objections are sent to local authorities holding copies of the registrations to which they relate. The noting of an objection on the register does not mean that it is officially admitted to be correct, and it has no immediate effect on the registration. The effect is that, unless the registration is cancelled, or the objector withdraws his objection, the matter will be referred to a Commons Commissioner for decision. Dated 5th October 1970. T. M.     Fund Criteria: Education Fund for Denbigh and Surrounding Area The Education Fund for Denbigh and Surrounding Area supports the education of individuals and specific educational initiatives. The fund seeks applications from: • Projects that support the educational attainment/development of children and young people between the ages of 11 and 25 years • School/college based projects that support vocational training, health matters and healthy living • Education inclusion projects with support for individual students between the ages of 11 and 25 years Grants Available • Individuals can apply for grants of up to £500 • Organisations can apply for grants up to £1,000 • Where there is an exceptional case for support (case to be made by the applicant), grants of up to £5,000 may be awarded.   • Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy
    Environment Directorate Contaminated Land Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy Revision 4 | February 2013 Foreward This Contaminated Land Strategy describes how Flintshire County Council is required to identify sites within its administrative control that may be affected by land contamination. The document also explains the statutory guidance, legislative provisions, processes and procedures that the Council will follow in order to investigate those sites, to identify statutorily Contaminated Land where necessary and to remediate Contaminated Land. The Council first published its Contaminated Land Strategy in September 2002. Since then a number of investigations to assess land contamination have been carried out and significant changes to legislation and guidance documents have taken place. This revision of the Strategy has taken these changes into account and amendments have been made where necessary. This revision of the Strategy replaces all previous revisions of Flintshire County Council’s Contaminated Land Strategy. The presence of contamination may cause harm or present risks to health, animals, buildings or the environment. However, just because contamination is present does not mean that the land is Contaminated Land or that there is a problem. On 1st July 2001, legislation requiring land contamination to be investigated and addressed was enacted in Wales. The legislation is known as Part IIa of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and it introduced a detailed way by which land contamination could be regulated.
