Last season the Fordham Ram's Basketball team won the patriot league tournament, but they had to beat St. Francis of Pennsylvania to go to the NCAA Tourney. We all know what happened. However, this season the Patriot League Tournament winner automatically qualifies for the NCAA field of 64. But is Fordham going to win another regular season game, let alone a tournament? What a difference a year makes. Furthermore, what possessed the University to enter the Patriot League, a league which doesn't believe in granting sports scholarships. Am I missing something?

Lighter note, how about the Rangers! They have even surprised me, and that's not easy to do. They finished the first half of the season with 51 points due to two lengthy winning streaks. Mark Messier has definitely added a different dimension to the team. He shows such cool and finesse when handling the puck, and is without a doubt the best player I have ever seen play in a Ranger's uniform.
