Hon. Boris Johnson MP’s Leadership Campaign. Jake’s talk “5 days in June” will reveal some of the behind the scenes actions and consequences following the resignation of The Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP as Prime Minister. That decision rapidly led to Boris’ declaration as one of the Leadership Candidates, followed just days later by his unexpected withdrawal from the Campaign and then the subsequent exciting and quickly reached conclusion for the Nation of our new Prime Minister, The Rt. Before becoming a Member of Parliament for Rossendale and Darwen in 2010, Jake specialised in Housing and Development Law. This valuable experience has enabled him to effectively champion affordable housing and the Construction Sector within the House of Commons. Jake was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Rt Hon. Grant Shapps MP, Minister for Housing and Local Government in 2010. In September 2012 Grant was appointed Conservative Party Chairman with Jake remaining as his PPS. In April 2013, Jake was asked by the Prime Minister to join his influential Policy Board and advise him on housing, local government and regional growth in Downing Street.
