CAMPUS TOUR by CAR Begin at 1475 Engineering Drive

Home to: , McClain Indoor Facility, Jack Link’s Performance Nutrition Center, Student Athlete Dining Hall, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Medicine, Equipment Room, Meeting Room, Women’s Soccer Locker Room, Coaches Offices, & Student Athlete Academic Performance Center (Fetzer) • Park in Lot 17 to walk around Camp Randall, The Arch & Union South We say that Athletics starts and ends campus • Camp Randall is the Start & the Kohl center is the end Head towards Randall Ave & turn RIGHT Turn LEFT at the light onto Dayton Street

Dayton street is the furthest street on campus. Campus is all to the LEFT Campus is unique in the fact it is an integrated campus – it is intertwined with the City • We have campus buildings & then some privately owned buildings next door o East Campus Mall is a great example

We have a few classroom buildings located between Dayton & University Ave such as: Psychology, Chemistry, Zoology, Educational Sciences, & Computer Science

Wisconsin is distinct in the fact that we have 2 student Union’s on campus – Union South & Memorial Union • Inside of Union South is the Daily Scoop! Badger Market, The Sett, movie theater, bowling, rock wall, and even has a hotel inside! • Memorial Union, is on the water – this is the Terrace! Continue to head straight on Dayton Street. At the intersection of Park St & Dayton turn RIGHT

Smith Residence Hall, where our players live their freshman year, is on your LEFT • We put our players here because it is more accessible to your academic classes, State Street & our upperclassman apartments • Roommates – you get to pick your roommate from your incoming freshman class. You will share a bathroom with the room next door to you. There are common spaces amongst each floor, which include couches, tv’s & kitchens. Head back to Dayton Street & turn RIGHT – continue straight & turn LEFT onto Frances Street to utilize the street parking

Gordon’s Dining Hall is the dining hall located on East Campus Mall. To get to Gordon’s from Smith, there is a trail / path that takes you between Smith, Ogg Hall, LaBahn Arena, & Nicholas Rec center

If you look straight through the pillars on East Campus Mall, you can see the lake! is only three blocks away.

• Again, our campus is a lot longer than it is wide

Frances Street is the furthest street on campus. This is where the Kohl Center is. So, this is the end of campus. All of campus is to your LEFT Continue down Frances Street & park in the State Street Campus Garage on the LEFT

State Street is what connects the University to the City • From the top of Bascom Hill, where Abraham Lincoln statue sits, it is exactly 1 mile to the footsteps of the Capitol. • State Street is a road that is pedestrian & biker friendly because it prohibits vehicles from diving down. Tons of restaurants & little shops line the street. Exit the parking garage and head towards campus. Continue onto campus, and walk through Library Mall & up to the top of Bascom Hill

This is where the majority of academic classes take place. • The following buildings line Bascom Hill: Science Hall, School of Education, North Hall, Bascom Hall, Van Vleck Hall (Math), Department of Botany, College of Letters & Sciences, University Law School, and Music Hall.

Looking down the backside of Bascom Hill (down Linden Drive) are the last of the academic buildings

If you look straight down Linden Drive, you will see an orange brick building with black shutters – this is Microbiology, but more importantly where “academic campus” ends.

When you are at this building and look across the street, you will see an American Flag, and “Home of the Badgers”. This is Camp Randall. All of “academic campus” is in between the Kohl Center & Camp Randall Head back down Bascom Hill & make your way to Memorial Union for the Terrace!

• When you arrive, you will need to show an ID that correlates with the name of the reservation • Your table number is located on your reservation After the Union, head back to the car. Turn RIGHT onto University Drive & LEFT onto Lake Street Follow Lake Street & turn LEFT on Langdon Street. Continue straight and turn RIGHT on Park & immediately LEFT onto Observatory

As you drive up Observatory, you will see the lake to your right. The trees that stick out into the water is Picnic Point

Picnic Point is part of Lake Shore Path. It is a trail that is 0.5 mi long. When you walk out to the tip, you can see Memorial Union & the Capitol Continue to drive down Observatory & turn LEFT onto Babcock Dr.

At the intersection of Babcock & Linden, look straight ahead to see Camp Randall (American Flag / Home of the Badgers) • All of “academic campus” is to your left. Turn LEFT onto Linden Drive & RIGHT onto Charter Street. This is our campus!
