It is a great pleasure to report the appearance of the Surgeon-General at his desk, wearing quite a proper color of bronze and red after his long summer journeyings. He has gained in weight and reports himself as feeling well, and happy to be again at his old post. It is not saying too much to add that those whose privilege it is to work under him are even more than glad to see him in his accustomed place. Mrs. Sternberg stopped en route across the continent, arriving in Washington a week later. Dita H. Kinney. .
