2016 OECD-IOPS Global Forum on Private Pensions “Making Private Pensions Work Better” 9-10 November 2016 Hong Kong, China Information Note for Participants Organisation The OECD-IOPS Global Forum, organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS) and Hong Kong’s Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), will take place from 9 to 10 November 2016 in Hong Kong, China. Registration Please note that participation in the Forum is by invitation only. If you have been invited to register, please do so by filling out the registration form and sending it by email to the contact persons listed at the end of the registration form. Registration at the event will take place on 9 November at the meeting venue. Each delegate will receive a conference package before the Forum begins. Evening A gala dinner for the Forum participants will be held in the ballroom of the Conference Venue on 9 November. Dress Code Dress code during the Forum and gala dinner will be business attire. Transportation from the Airport The Hong Kong International Airport is located at Chek Lap Kok on Lantau Island, which is approximately 36 km (45 minutes drive) from the Conference Venue. Delegates can travel to Kowloon by public transport (e.g. on the MTR’s Airport Express Line), take a taxi, or arrange for a transfer with the hotel where they are staying. Approximate fares for different types of transportation from the airport to the Conference Hotel are as follows: 1. The average low and high temperatures range from 19°C (66°F) to 24°C (75°F) . Currency The legal tender in Hong Kong, China is the Hong Kong Dollar (https://currency-converter.net/). Most major bank branches offer currency exchange services. Foreign currency exchange are available at the airport and throughout the city centre. Electricity Local voltage is 220 volts, and the city uses type G power plugs/sockets. Medical Services There are a number of government hospitals and private medical clinics located near the Conference Venue from which medical assistance is available.
