And finally--the mooring field. Well it is anyone‘s guess. Months have gone by, and we have had no re- sponse from the State about our recommendations for changes in the Temporary Use Authorization document which was pretty close to what we believe we are willing and able to sign, but not without a few modifications. Apparently for all our efforts and concerns to help the State resolve this problem, it is a low priority on their agenda. But in the end, I believe that the Sarasota Sail- ing Squadron is the best solution to the problem. Now if only the State will return to the table and work through this last relatively minor issue so that the Squadron and its members can move forward and do the heavy lifting required in order to provide at least one State approved and fully compliant mooring field in Sarasota. But in the meantime, the approaching weather is ―sailing weather‖ and I urge you to get out on the water and go Sailing in Sarasota! Flying Scotts at the line
