As an added bonus, yearbook comes with original mailing envelope with the Mr. Redlegs logo on the front! $55 029 • 1945 “News Of The Reds” Roster Booklet Scarce post WWII year “booklet” produced by the Reds for the 1945 season. Paper booklet measures approximately 3 3/8” x 6” and contains 16 pages. Features a roster pages with short bio and photo of most of the players. Excellent condition excepting for “1945” being written on the front and some paper loss inside the front page. $45 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 3 SOLD 030 • Rare 1940 Program From Cincinnati Reds Tour Of Cuba Vintage Cuban baseball publication from the Reds tour of Cuba in spring training of 1940. Reds manager HOF Bill Mckechnie is featured on the front cover. Program contains 24 pages and is fair/good condition considering someone took a ballpoint pen to “Deacon” Bill. However, considering its extreme rarity this can easily be accepted. $150 4 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 031 • Rare 1919 Cincinnati Reds Yearbook / Booklet Historic booklet produced by Sterling Jewelry Co. (Cincinnati, Ohio). Publication includes a bio on each Reds player along with manager Pat Moran. Booklet measures 3 ¼” x 5 ¼”, contains 68 pages and is in excellent condition. The cover has a 1 ½” tear on the bottom left that has been repaired nicely with scotch tape. There is also very small amount of paper loss on the front and back covers. However, this does not really detract from the overall presentation of the booklet. A previous owner also made some pencil notations inside. Overall, a very nice relic from the Reds World Championship season of 1919. $750 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 5 SOLD 032 • 1961 Cincinnati Reds V New York Yankess World Series Score Card (Cincinnati) As was custom at the time, local business would print souvenir score cards for World Series games to take advantage of the advertising opportunity. This particular version was printed by Wilson Freight Forwarding Co. Score Card is not scored, measures 8 ½” x 6”, contains 8 pages and is in excellent condition. Players for the Yankees include: Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra, and Whitey Ford. Players for the Reds include: Frank Robinson, Vada Pinson, Wally Post and Jim Maloney. This is the first score card of this type I’ve ever encountered. $55 033 • (2) 1972 Cincinnati Reds (Riverfront Stadium) Opening Day Full Tickets These unused tickets come from the Reds pennant winning season of 1972. Tickets feature an illustration of the recently opened Riverfront Stadium, measure 5 ½” x 1 ½” and are in good / very good condition.SOLD There are no visible creases but some water staining and what looks like a light outline of a rusted paper clip along with a pencil notation on the back of one ticket. Nice “Big Red Machine” relics to be sure. $35 6 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two SOLD 034 • 1955 Cincinnati Red Legs / Crosley Field Schedule & Ticket Brochure (Ted Kluszewski) Nice tri-fold schedule featuring “Big Klu” on the cover. Brochure measures 9” x 4”, folds out to 8 pages front and back and is in excellent condition. This is the first Reds brochure of this type I’ve ever encountered. $55 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 7 035 • 1919-20 Cincinnati “Reds” World’s Champions Post Card Interesting post card issued to commemorate the Reds World Championship season of 1919. This card (Charles See) was one of 24 produced. Post Card is in excellent condition and has slightly rounded corners but is not postally used. $55 036 • 1922 Harry S. Thobe (Cincinnati Reds Rooter) “Shell Shot” Post Card Harry S. Thobe was probably the Reds biggest fan / supporter in the first half of the 20th century. He has been referred to as a “Super Fan” and is represented in The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Presented here is rare post card from his earlier days of fandom. Post card is in very good shape and has various notations on the back. $65 SOLD 8 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 037 • Early 1900’S Goldsmith Scorecard (Cincinnati) Original baseball bi - fold score card produced by Goldsmith & Sons Athletic Goods (Later MacGregor Sporting Goods) of Cincinnati. This un-scored Score Card features a nice illustration of a Cincinnati player on the back. Measures 6 ¼” x 3 ½” and is in very good condition. $150 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 9 039 • 1930’S Crosley Field Tri-Fold Guide Vintage color publication titled “Guide to Crosley Field”. This guide provides ticket prices, directions to the ballpark and a seating diagram of the stadium. SOLD Measures 8 ½” x 3 ¾” and is in very good condition. Neat item! $35 040 • 1978 Cincinnati Reds Tom Seaver No-Hittter Ticket Stub 6/16/78 Original ticket stub from Tom Seaver’s only big league No-Hitter. Stub measures approximately 1 ¼” x 3 ¼” andSOLD is in good condition. Very displayable and features Ted in a first baseman’s fielding pose. Card is considered to be his rookie. Very Nice! SOLD$235 044 • 1970’S Johnny Bench’s Homestretch Restaurant Cocktail Glass Original cocktail glass from one of JB’s Cincinnati area restaurants. These are much more scarce than the “Johnny Bench’s Home Plate Restaurant” glasses. Features horseracing logo on one side & Johnny’s signature on the other. Paperweight has a few dints & dings but still displays very nicely. $45 046 • 1976 Cincinnati Reds World Series Champions Mug This attractive pewter mug was issued to celebrate the Reds fourth World Championship in 1976. Mug measures 4 3/4” x 4 1/2” and is in like new condition. Manufactured by Heritage, Inc. Jerry Lucas has been a southwestern Ohio basketball legend since the 1950’s. Presented here is a pin honoring his hard court accomplishments. Pin features a photo composite of Lucas, measures 2 ¼” in diameter and is in very good condition. $150 048 • 1930s/40s Cincinnati Reds Luggage Tag Scarce 1930's / 40's Reds luggage tag. Someone's name is written in pencil on one side only. Tag measures 2" in diameter and is made of plastic with printed graphics. Pennant is constructed of soft, flexible red felt with screened on graphics. Pennant is constructed of soft, flexible red felt with screened on graphics. This soft felt pennant still has all four streamers and a full tip. Pennant shows some stains, wrinkles and some crackling on the graphics. $35 052 • Circa Early 1950s Cincinnati Reds Pennant Vintage Reds pennant dating from the early 1950s with BOLD screened on graphics and constructed of soft, flexible red felt. Players represented include: Pitcher - William Serad, Catcher - Clarence “Kid” Baldwin, Outfielder - George “White Wings” Tebeau, First Baseman - “Long” John Reilly (Reds HOF), Outfielder - Hugh Nicol and Tony Mullane (Reds HOF). All covers are in good / very good condition.
