As an added bonus, yearbook comes with original mailing envelope with the Mr. Redlegs logo on the front! $55 029 • 1945 “News Of The Reds” Roster Booklet Scarce post WWII year “booklet” produced by the Reds for the 1945 season. Paper booklet measures approximately 3 3/8” x 6” and contains 16 pages. Features a roster pages with short bio and photo of most of the players. Excellent condition excepting for “1945” being written on the front and some paper loss inside the front page. $45 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 3 SOLD 030 • Rare 1940 Program From Cincinnati Reds Tour Of Cuba Vintage Cuban baseball publication from the Reds tour of Cuba in spring training of 1940. Reds manager HOF Bill Mckechnie is featured on the front cover. Program contains 24 pages and is fair/good condition considering someone took a ballpoint pen to “Deacon” Bill. However, considering its extreme rarity this can easily be accepted. $150 4 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 031 • Rare 1919 Cincinnati Reds Yearbook / Booklet Historic booklet produced by Sterling Jewelry Co. (Cincinnati, Ohio). Publication includes a bio on each Reds player along with manager Pat Moran. Booklet measures 3 ¼” x 5 ¼”, contains 68 pages and is in excellent condition. The cover has a 1 ½” tear on the bottom left that has been repaired nicely with scotch tape. There is also very small amount of paper loss on the front and back covers. However, this does not really detract from the overall presentation of the booklet. A previous owner also made some pencil notations inside. Overall, a very nice relic from the Reds World Championship season of 1919. $750 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 5 SOLD 032 • 1961 Cincinnati Reds V New York Yankess World Series Score Card (Cincinnati) As was custom at the time, local business would print souvenir score cards for World Series games to take advantage of the advertising opportunity. This particular version was printed by Wilson Freight Forwarding Co. Score Card is not scored, measures 8 ½” x 6”, contains 8 pages and is in excellent condition. Players for the Yankees include: Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra, and Whitey Ford. Players for the Reds include: Frank Robinson, Vada Pinson, Wally Post and Jim Maloney. This is the first score card of this type I’ve ever encountered. $55 033 • (2) 1972 Cincinnati Reds (Riverfront Stadium) Opening Day Full Tickets These unused tickets come from the Reds pennant winning season of 1972. Tickets feature an illustration of the recently opened Riverfront Stadium, measure 5 ½” x 1 ½” and are in good / very good condition.SOLD There are no visible creases but some water staining and what looks like a light outline of a rusted paper clip along with a pencil notation on the back of one ticket. Nice “Big Red Machine” relics to be sure. $35 6 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two SOLD 034 • 1955 Cincinnati Red Legs / Crosley Field Schedule & Ticket Brochure (Ted Kluszewski) Nice tri-fold schedule featuring “Big Klu” on the cover. Brochure measures 9” x 4”, folds out to 8 pages front and back and is in excellent condition. This is the first Reds brochure of this type I’ve ever encountered. $55 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 7 035 • 1919-20 Cincinnati “Reds” World’s Champions Post Card Interesting post card issued to commemorate the Reds World Championship season of 1919. This card (Charles See) was one of 24 produced. Post Card is in excellent condition and has slightly rounded corners but is not postally used. $55 036 • 1922 Harry S. Thobe (Cincinnati Reds Rooter) “Shell Shot” Post Card Harry S. Thobe was probably the Reds biggest fan / supporter in the first half of the 20th century. He has been referred to as a “Super Fan” and is represented in The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Presented here is rare post card from his earlier days of fandom. Post card is in very good shape and has various notations on the back. $65 SOLD 8 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 037 • Early 1900’S Goldsmith Scorecard (Cincinnati) Original baseball bi - fold score card produced by Goldsmith & Sons Athletic Goods (Later MacGregor Sporting Goods) of Cincinnati. This un-scored Score Card features a nice illustration of a Cincinnati player on the back. Measures 6 ¼” x 3 ½” and is in very good condition. $150 play ball sports memorabilia - Fall Classic - 2012 - Part Two 9 039 • 1930’S Crosley Field Tri-Fold Guide Vintage color publication titled “Guide to Crosley Field”. This guide provides ticket prices, directions to the ballpark and a seating diagram of the stadium. SOLD Measures 8 ½” x 3 ¾” and is in very good condition. Neat item! $35 040 • 1978 Cincinnati Reds Tom Seaver No-Hittter Ticket Stub 6/16/78 Original ticket stub from Tom Seaver’s only big league No-Hitter. Stub measures approximately 1 ¼” x 3 ¼” andSOLD is in good condition. SOLD$235 044 • 1970’S Johnny Bench’s Homestretch Restaurant Cocktail Glass Original cocktail glass from one of JB’s Cincinnati area restaurants. These are much more scarce than the “Johnny Bench’s Home Plate Restaurant” glasses. Features horseracing logo on one side & Johnny’s signature on the other. Mug measures 4 3/4” x 4 1/2” and is in like new condition. Manufactured by Heritage, Inc. Pin features a photo composite of Lucas, measures 2 ¼” in diameter and is in very good condition. $150 048 • 1930s/40s Cincinnati Reds Luggage Tag Scarce 1930's / 40's Reds luggage tag. Someone's name is written in pencil on one side only. Tag measures 2" in diameter and is made of plastic with printed graphics. Pennant is constructed of soft, flexible red felt with screened on graphics. This soft felt pennant still has all four streamers and a full tip. Pennant shows some stains, wrinkles and some crackling on the graphics. $35 052 • Circa Early 1950s Cincinnati Reds Pennant Vintage Reds pennant dating from the early 1950s with BOLD screened on graphics and constructed of soft, flexible red felt. All covers are in good / very good condition.     ENERGY STAR Success Story: Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati Reds

    ENERGY STAR Success Story: Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati Reds Located on the winding banks of the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati, the Great American Ball Park is home to the Cincinnati Reds, baseball's first professional franchise. The ballpark, built next door to the Reds’ former home, Riverfront Stadium, officially opened for the 2003 season. Equally as enthusiastic as their hometown fans, the ballpark’s management team continues to improve the ballpark’s energy performance and is a leader among stadiums nationwide. Energy Management with ENERGY STAR The Cincinnati Reds were one of the first Major League Baseball teams to join ENERGY STAR as a partner in 2008 and use ENERGY STAR resources to track energy usage, improve energy performance, and communicate their efforts to staff and the public. Improving energy performance is an important environmental strategy for the Reds and they have received kudos from local officials and enhanced loyalty from fans for leading by example. The ballpark operations management team benchmarks the ballpark’s energy performance using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Portfolio Manager, an online energy tool to track whole-building energy intensity and greenhouse gas emissions. By inputting historical energy data going back to 2007, and ongoing monthly energy consumption and cost information, the Reds are able to measure progress and quantify improvements. To date, the ballpark’s energy intensity is 27 percent better than the national average for entertainment buildings1, even with an off-season construction project during the winter of 2009. As part of their energy management plan, the ballpark’s building operations management team implemented several energy conservation measures and integrated energy efficient technologies into the ballpark’s infrastructure.

The investigation led to the seizure of a loaded assault rifle, a high capacity magazine and the arrest of Juan Davalos. On January 4, 2017 Investigators with the Ventura County Sheriff's Office Special Crimes Unit and the Oxnard Police Department learned Juan Davalos, who is an Oxnard criminal street gang associate, was in possession of an assault rifle. Investigators began an investigation and obtained a search warrant to search Davalos' residence in the 300 block of Gibralter Street in the City of Oxnard. The Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit along with the Violent Crimes Unit executed the search warrant at the residence. A search of the residence revealed an assault rifle with a loaded high capacity magazine. Davalos was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Ventura County Jail for a warrant on an unrelated case.     A Whole New Ball Game: Sports Stadiums and Urban Renewal in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis, 1950-1970 AARON COWAN n the latter years of the 1960s, a strange phenomenon occurred in the cities of Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis. Massive white round Iobjects, dozens of acres in size, began appearing in these cities' down- towns, generating a flurry of excitement and anticipation among their residents. According to one expert, these unfamiliar structures resembled transport ships for "a Martian army [that] decided to invade Earth."1 The gigantic objects were not, of course, flying saucers but sports stadiums. They were the work not of alien invaders, but of the cities' own leaders, who hoped these unusual and futuristic-looking structures would be the key to bringing their struggling cities back to life. At the end of the Second World War, government and business leaders in the cities of Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and St. Louis recognized that their cities, once proud icons of America's industrial and commercial might, were dying. Shrouded in a haze of sulphureous smoke, their riparian transportation advantages long obsolete, each city was losing population by the thou- sands while crime rates skyrocketed. Extensive flooding, ever the curse of river cities, had wreaked havoc on all three cities' property values during 1936 and 1937, compounding economic difficulties ushered in with the Riverfront Stadium in Great Depression. While the industrial mobilization of World War II had Cincinnati. Cincinnati brought some relief, these cities' leaders felt less than sanguine about the Museum Center, Cincinnati Historical Society Library postwar future.2 In 1944, the Wall Street Journal rated Pittsburgh a "Class D" city with a bleak future and little promise for economic growth.
