Praying for Salvation of Your Loved Ones I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them. (Jeremiah 32:39) Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes. (Nehemiah 4:14) It’s your heart’s desire and your prayer for their salvation. Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:1, 13; cf Acts 2:21) Pray, “Lord, draw my loved one to Christ.” No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. (John 6:44) Pray they will hear the Gospel and be surrounded by Christian witness. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? (Romans 10:14) Pray God will draw them to a saving encounter with Christ, and that if they are born again that they will be strengthened and encouraged in the faith. [God] desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4) Pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them; that God would work in their lives, enabling them Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: to see their sinfulness and repent and be saved! (John 16:7-8) Cry out for the Lord to shine His light in their dark hearts so they can see the light of the glory of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me. (Acts 26:17-18) (Continued on other side) (Continued from other side) Pray for patience while the Lord fulfills his promise, that all should reach repentance. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) Pray that they will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and listen to His conviction and their conscience, confessing their sins and repenting. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:8) Pray that the lessons they learned and the seeds that were planted as a child will sprout in their hearts and they will return to the faith of their youth. Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
