No. 929-3244, 927-9702 Loc.131; Cell phone: 09274560042 ______________________________________________________________________________ LADY BARANGAY KAGAWAD, HUSBAND FALL IN DRUG SEARCH A lady barangay kagawad and her husband fell in the hands of combined operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police during the implementation of a search warrant in Masbate on January 12, 2016. PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspects as Roselie Trigo, 36 years old a barangay councilor; and husband Ricky Trigo, 37, both residents of Barangay Pajo, Balud, Masbate. At around 3:20 in the morning, elements of PDEA Regional Office 5 (PDEA RO5) under Director Bryan Babang, in collaboration with teams from Regional Intelligence Division-Police Regional Office 5 (RID-PRO5), Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) Masbate, Masbate Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC), Masbate Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT), PNP Maritime Group and Balud Municipal Police Station implemented a lawful search that led to the arrest of the Trigos in their house in Barangay Pajo, Balud, Masbate. Seized inside were 16 plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia. The couple will be facing charges for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. If Roselie is found guilty, the maximum penalty of the anti-drug law shall be imposed upon her, in addition to absolute perpetual disqualification from any public office. On January 11, 2016, the same law enforcement unit, together with teams from Aroroy Municipal Police Station and Milagros Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Kalipay, Masbate City at around twelve noon. The operation led to the arrest of Oddessy Beribe, 34, male and the confiscation of 14 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 50 grams, with an estimated street value of P250,000. Cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of RA 9165, await Beribe. # # # .
