This programme does not apply to the healthcare sector. Ontario-Rhône-Alpes programme (ORA): This exchange programme is between 14 universities in Ontario (Canada) and 12 higher education establishments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Oregon: This exchange programme connects 6 universities in Oregon (USA) with 5 establishments in Lyon. It does not apply to the healthcare sector. Sciences Without Borders: This programme managed by Campus France aims to educate Brazilian students and researchers in France in the physical sciences, engineering sciences (BRAFITEC), environment and cultural industries fields. MALAYSIA programme: (incoming only): managed by Campus France, it primarily concerns the fields of mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering, and is an IUT-level programme that provides access to the Bachelor and Master level or to engineering schools for high-performing students, selected and funded by the Malaysian government. IARI programme: (International Alliance Research Internship), programme coordinated with the University of Lyon (UdL), seeking to foster student exchanges for research internships between UCBL, ENS and the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at the University of Tokyo, in particular in the fields of Oncology and Bioscience at Lyon1. SIRI programme: internship programme created in 2012 to receive students from the University of Ottawa for research internships (undergraduate). Co-managed by the University of Lyon, it partially funds these students for their internship in Lyon laboratories for a three-month period from May to July.     RELIGION AND DEMOCRACY IN LATIN AMERICA: Religious Engagement with Rights and Justice in Latin America: Environment and Gender/Sexuality A workshop organized by American University’s Center for Latin American and Latino Studies (CLALS) with generous support from the Henry Luce Foundation November 6-7, 2014 WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS Hans Geir Aasmundsen is the Scientific Coordinator for the Bergen Summer Research School 2015 at the University of Bergen, which focuses on new Sustainable Development Goals. He received his PhD in the History of Religion from the University of Sødertørn and Gothenburg University in 2014. His primary research interests include the sociopolitical aspects of religion, particularly as they relate to evangelical and penecostal Christianity in Argentina, Costa Rica, Latin America, and around the world. Email: [email protected] Robert Albro is Research Associate Professor at American University’s Center for Latin American and Latino Studies. He received his PhD in sociocultural anthropology from the University of Chicago, and has conducted ethnographic research and published widely on popular and indigenous politics along Bolivia’s urban periphery, and with particular attention to the changing terms of political participation, indigenous identity, and citizenship as part of grassroots-driven change in this country. Much of this work is summarized in his book, Roosters at Midnight: Indigenous Signs and Stigma in Local Bolivian Politics (School of Advanced Research Press, 2010). Dr. Albro's research and writing have been supported by the National Science Foundation, Mellon Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and the American Council for Learned Societies, among others. He has been a Fulbright scholar, and held fellowships at the Carnegie Council, the Kluge Center of the Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian Institution.
