The wildest of the bunch! A Our resident bookworm! rambunctious and outgoing Kaede’s a gentle and sweet Bengali Tiger, his mind’s White Tiger. She’s the most always on what to create for knowledgeable of the group, his next art project! Kyou’s and her nose is always in a never seen without his book or ! paintbrushes, markers, and art supplies in hand.

SUGI Our cool and composed The rough and tough Golden Maltese Tiger! Sugi’s the Tiger. Saki is the self-proclaimed tech whiz of the crew. He’s leader of the ambush, all bark an expert gamer, but he and all bite! She loves fashion, also has a musical side to but that doesn’t stop her from him! He’s an avid DJ and doing some extreme sports loves making music. as well. Her favorite hobby is longboarding for hours at a time. CONVENTION RULES 3 General Rules All visitors to the Rochester Institute of Technology campus must obey all local, NY state, and federal laws. Consequences may range from warnings to ejection from the convention. Any behavior that threatens the safety of person will be handled by RIT Public Safety and may result in criminal charges being filed. Lost & Found Tora-Con Staff and Volunteers are not responsible for any lost or missing items. Attendees will be directed to the Lost and Found located at Campus Center Welcome Desk if items are reported missing. Staff Authority Attendees are expected to follow the instructions of the Tora-Con Staff and Volunteers, RIT Public Safety and uniformed officers. Tora-Con Staff will have final say on any rule violations. Refunds There will be no refunds for any registration. No exceptions. Restricted Items No restricted substances, including cigarettes and alcohol, are allowed at Tora-Con for the entirety of the convention. Electronic cigarettes and vapes are not permitted indoors on RIT campus. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas on RIT campus. Please respect your fellow attendees and use those areas.

Food Homemade food may not be sold or given away at the convention. Anyone found doing this will have the items confiscated and given a warning. This is to protect all convention attendees’ health and safety. We recommend only purchasing food at fully licensed and inspected food vendors while in the convention areas. Age Requirements All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Tora-Con­ Staff and Volunteers cannot help locate any lost children, but can direct adults to RIT Public Safety and the RIT Information Desk for assistance. Some panels and events may be restricted to attendees age 18 and over. To gain entry to these panels and events, please have valid photo identification that clearly states the date of birth. You will be asked for your identification upon entry to these panels and events. Entry To gain entry into any event or room at Tora-Con, attendees are required to have their badges worn and easily visible. A Tora-Con Staff member or Volunteer will be checking badges at the entrance to every room. If you do not have a badge for any reason, you will be directed to a location where you can obtain another one. Panel Rooms Attendees will not be allowed into an event room until the scheduled time of the event. No attendees will be allowed in a room once capacity has been reached. If an attendee needs to leave a room which is already full, they may not re-enter the room. A limited number of events may be simulcast to other rooms, but this is not guaranteed. All rooms will be cleared after each event. Attendees may not wait in a room after an event has ended. There is no reserved or saved seating for attendees in any room at the convention. Seating may be designated for those with disabilities such as the deaf or hard of hearing. If your costume is large and may block the view for other attendees, please position yourself towards the sides or back of the room. A Tora-Con Staff member or Volunteer may direct you to a seat if the event will fill the entire room; please follow their directions. Please clean up after yourselves when you leave an event. Event Seating There is no reserved or saved seating in any room at the convention. If your costume is larger and may block the view for other attendees, please position yourself towards the sides or back of the room. All rooms will be cleared after each event and there is never any sitting in a walkway or on stairs. Please clean up after yourselves when you leave an event. Lines Attendees may not start lining up more than an hour before an event. Lines will be broken up by Tora-Con Staff and Volunteers if this rule is violated. Tora-Con Staff and Volunteers will form lines an hour before a major event starts. There is no sitting in walkways or on stairs. Go to the bathroom and eat food BEFORE you line up. If you leave a line, you must re-enter at the back of the line. You may not save a spot for a friend or group. Violators will be sent to the end of the line. No exceptions. Lines are single-file only. No large groups may stand together in line. Lines will be in hallways, which must stay clear for your safety in the event of an emergency. In case of a full event, Tora-Con Staff and Volunteers may direct you to a simulcast room. Tora-Con Staff reserves the right to make on-site decisions about lines and events in order to accommodate the specific location at that specific time (doorways, halls, traffic, etc.). Signing Sessions You may bring two items for signing per guest in that signing session. • Example: If there are two voice actors in a signing session, you may bring in four items total. However, each guest will ONLY sign two each. • Only officially licensed products and Tora-Con conbooks and badges are approved items for any autograph session. When it is your turn, get your item(s) signed, take your photo (if allowed), and move on.​ • Only one photo per trip through the line per guest is allowed. • Tora-Con Staff reserves the right to deny photos at any time in order to move the line along. • NOTE: There will be NO photos allowed in the last 30 minutes of any session in order to maximize the number of people we can accommodate. Depending on the guest and timing, there may be a separate signing session designated for photos only. Please check your schedule for when the times are. There is to be no loitering around the guests during signing sessions. If you have questions, please save them for the guest panels. Tora-Con Staff reserves the right to make changes to the rules at any time in order to adjust to current situations. Harassment Tora-Con does not allow harassment of any kind including but not limited to: • Verbal harassment such as name calling, jeering, threats or insults • Physical harassment such as hitting or throwing objects at another person • Sexual harassment such as touching, invasive photographing, or making unwelcome sexual advances toward another person Violations will result in RIT Public Safety being called and criminal charges may be filed. 6 CONVENTION RULES CONTINUED Photography and Recording All Tora-Con attendees grant permission to be photographed or recorded by authorized mem- bers of the Tora-Con Staff for promotional purposes. Attendees may photograph or record events at Tora-Con unless otherwise directed at specific events and panels. Signs will be posted at room entrances prohibiting photography and recording. All photography and video recording is prohibited during showings. Taking photographs of other attendees at Tora-Con is allowed, but it is courteous to obtain permission before doing so. Respect your fellow attendees and ask before you photograph or record others.

COSPLAY RULES Costume Rules All costumes must fall in a PG rating. Tora-Con Staff members may determine if a costume is appropriate for the convention. If your costume does not meet the convention rules and guide- lines, you will be asked to cover up your costume or change into a different outfit.

All attendees must have proper footwear, shirt/blouse, and pants/shorts. Entry into event rooms and buildings will be denied otherwise.

The following cosplay guidelines must be observed: • Any form of nudity is prohibited. Bathing suit areas must be covered. • Examples of clothing that are acceptable as long as you are fully covered: sports bras, muscle shirts, spanks, leggings, etc. • Costumes may not have exposed hard materials, including but not limited to, metal and wood. • Hard materials may be used as a structural base for your costume and then must be covered in foam or soft padding of some sort to prevent injury to others. If your costume is deemed unsafe, you will be asked change into a different outfit. • No sharp edges or points. • Free-floating chains or tails must not be more than a foot long. They must not be able to flail around. • Costumes must be able to fit through a door of standard height and width (~7.5’ 3’). • No part of your costume should obstruct the path of another attendee.

If your view is obstructed, please have a guide direct you. Full face masks/headwear must be easily removable and we ask that it be removed after leaving the convention area and during badge pick up.

If you and your costume require more than one seat in any event or panel room or obstructs the view of any other attendee, Tora-Con Staff may designate seating for you that causes the least disruption.

If you wish to take part in the Cosplay Contest, in addition to the rules above, you must adhere to the Tora-Con Cosplay Contest Rules.

COSPLAY RULES CONTINUED 7 Prop Rules The following props and “special effects” are not allowed in the convention. Any violations will result in attendees being escorted to their vehicles to put away said props or confiscation by Tora-Con Staff. Repeated violations by attendees will result in confiscation by Tora-Con Staff and possible ejection from the convention. • Guns or props that fire objects • Live steel weapons with edges such as knives or swords • Spray weapons such as mace • Projectile weapons such as bows, slingshots, airsoft or bb guns • Live flame, flash paper, sparkler, or strobes (sealed flashbulbs may be used if desired) • Electric weapons such as tasers or cattle prods • Aerial acrobatics • Live animals • Messy props such as confetti, flowers, food or liquid • Remote control devices • Signs soliciting goods and/or services such as “Free Hugs” • Non-firing, toy weapons will be allowed only with peace bonding or if they are orange tipped and approved by the Cosplay Coordinator. These will only be allowed during the Cosplay Contest and not allowed in the rest of the convention. • Props may use hard materials for structural purposes, but must be covered in soft ma- terial for safety purposes. Props made with plastic will be reviewed on a case by case basis based on size, material and type. Please Note: New York State weapon and firearms laws are in effect and no weapons will be allowed in the convention proper. No exceptions. All props must be put away after 9 p.m. Any props found after will be confiscated even if it was deemed appropriate by Tora­-Con Staff and RIT Public Safety. Clifford Chapin

Clifford Chapin is a voice actor and director best known for his work in and video games. Some of his prolific anime roles include Katsuki Bakugo in , Connie Springer in , Cabba in Super, and Charles Grey in . As for video games, you can hear Clif- ford as the voices of Toby the Destroyer from Battleborn, Michael from YIIK: A Postmodern RPG, and Kukulkan in Smite.

Clifford has also worked behind the scenes for Marvel Entertainment’s publish- ing branch, as well as for several reality television series.

Eric Vale

Eric Vale has voiced a number of anime characters such as Future in , Sanji in , Yuki in , Kimblee in , America and Canada in Hetalia, and most recently Nishiki in Ghoul. He also wrote and produced the feature filmChariot , has written screenplays, and scripted over 50 anime programs. Eric has also directed for film and stage.

Felecia Angelle

Felecia Angelle is a voice actor who has been in a number of your favorite anime! Her work includes Aoi Asahina in : The Animation, The Hero Emilia/ Emi Yusa in The Devil Is A Part-Timer!, Alex Benedetto in , Shalltear Bloodfallen in , Sayaka Miyata in !!!!!!!!, and Lynne in Attack on Titan. She has also served as the Assistant and Lead ADR Director for several projects including Blood Blockade Battlefront, , One Piece, and Attack on Titan: Junior High, and lead ADR Director for , Puzzle and Dragons X, and Kenka Bancho Otome.

Justin Briner

Justin Briner is a Dallas-based actor and singer known primarily for his work in anime and video games. Recently, he wrapped up the second season of My Hero Academia as Izuku “Deku” Midoriya. He can also be heard as Mikaela in , Nova in , Yukito and Yue in : Clear Card, Yoichi in , Ayanokoji in Classroom of the Elite, and many more. Additionally, he has provided voices for games such as Dust: An Elysian Tail, SMITE, Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs, Cibele, and DreadOut.

Hiromi Wakabayashi

Previously a member of Studio , Hiromi Wakabayashi has been involved in several works with . Most notably from doing design production for . Wakabayashi was also involved on Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt as co-creator, writer, and episode director.

After joining TRIGGER, Wakabayashi joined the production staff ofKILL la KILL, writing, directing, and overseeing the design team as its Creative Produc- er. He later did story development for and Inferno Cop, and took part in Space Patrol Luluco as creative director and music producer.

Shigeto Koyama

Shigeto Koyama (born in 1975, Tokyo) is an active designer in Japan’s media industry. Starting his career by participating in Aim for the Top 2! (Diebuster) in 2004, Shigeto took part in numerous animation titles. Some of these notable titles includes: , Eureka , GURREN LAGANN, STAR DRIV- ER, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Rebuild of Evangelion, , and BIG HERO 6. In 2015, he directed his first short animation filmObake-chan . Koyama has also been leading the art direction of GOODSMILE RACING since 2014.

The Chalk Twins

An extraordinary pair of artists, the Chalk Twins are renowned for their anime-themed chalk murals of epic proportions. Having travelled the world in pursuit of artistic mastery, they are a regular installment at conventions and events across the country where they produce massive chalk masterpieces live!

Uncle Yo

Karl “Uncle Yo” Custer has performed at Tora-Con a staggering...number of... times. Ten years in the convention circuit, his rantcore nerd-specific stand-up comedy has been confusing your parents at over 100 anime, gaming and comic book conventions. He has produced numerous audiobooks through Audible, as well as two podcasts, a fantasy puppet sitcom, and the digital “ Survival Guide.” Whether you’re knee deep or just getting started with your favorite show, you’ve got a friend in Yo. Whew, what a narcissistic bio, right?

Charles Dunbar

A certified scholar of Japanese pop-culture and the global sensation it has become, Charles Dunbar stands at the forefront of the study of anime. With over a decade of convention experience, his panels introduce enthusiasts to a side of anime, games, mythology, and that they may never have considered before.

CircusP

CircusP is a Western music producer specializing in and other vocal synths. Best known for his electronic styles of music, his works are characterized by their combination of melancholic themes and catchy beats. Most notably, his song “Ten Thousand Stars” was given the honor of winning the 2016 Miku Expo song writing contest and was performed in front of audiences around the world. When he’s not working on solo projects, he can be found collaborating and conspiring with fellow producers such as EmpathP, nostraightanswer, and others.

Digibro

Best known for his popular YouTube analyzing anime narratives and aesthetics in-depth, Digibro also has a prolific presence as a vlogger, podcaster, and writer. Sometimes called “The Journalist”, he writes about anime from a deeply personal and vastly knowledgeable perspective. He is a diehard defender of subjective critique, anime about cute girls, and everything Hiroyuki Imaishi has ever done. He has also created brutal takedowns of , as well as love-letters to anime like K-On, Evangelion, Shirobako, Hunter x Hunter, and .

Digitrevx

An expert 3D artist, animator, and game developer, Digitrevx has worked on stunning 3D projects for companies all over the world, including character projects in Japan. He is also an avid creator of 3D models of -favorite char- acters, and uses the popular software Miku Miku Dance (MMD). Through a series of panels and workshops, he’s excited to share his knowledge on modeling, animation, and development.

EmpathP

EmpathP (Aki Glancy) is a musician, illustrator, voice actress, and Vocaloid pro- ducer from the United States. She has consulted independently with numerous Vocaloid production companies to create original demos for their software and is the designer and illustrator for the English Celtic Vocaloid AVANNA’s char- acter. Through her self-produced music and art studio “Empathy Studios,” and her special concert project “VOCAMERICA,” her wish is to spread the love for this amazing type of music and technology across the United States.

Shonic

A team member of the popular YouTube channel, SiIvagunner, Shonic has what it takes to make the highest quality rips and has contributed a great handful of them. He’ll be sharing tips and tricks to make rips of your own!

Blue Eyed Fairy

Stephanie has gone by the cosplay alias Blue Eyed Fairy and has been involved in the community since 2003. She has been the masquerade co-coordinator for the past 4 years at Another Anime Con (AAC) and been competing at conventions for almost as long as she has been making costumes. She has won awards at multiple conventions including Anime , Boston Comic Con, , Colossalcon, and a few smaller local events. Stephanie is also a member of the Cardboard Bandits cosplay group and enjoys group costumes very much. Blue Eyed Fairy will be a judge in this year’s Cosplay Contest!

Greygoosery

Kathy, aka Greygoosery, is a self confessed cat lady and cosplayer who has been a part of the community since 2001. She was the masquerade coordinator for the first 9 years of Another Anime Con (AAC) and still stays involved. Kathy has competed in a number of East Coast competitions and won multiple awards solo and as part of the cosplay group The Cardboard Bandits.
