Association of the Deaf (ASSOD) - 2013-2017 $250,000 Sector: Fabrication (Metal) Welding Expansion Project Town/City: 2880-ZWE Summary: The project funds will be used to enable ASSOD to provide employment to members trained in metal fabrication. Profits realized through the welding operation will contribute to a microloan fund to help other members start small businesses.

Gokwe Dairy Farmers Cooperative 2014-2018 $246,126 Sector: Agriculture (Dairy) Society Limited Town/City: 3016-ZWE Summary: The project funds will be used to help the association grow its business through production of good quality milk by increasing herd size, membership, production, knowledge and marketing.

Khayelihle Children's Village (KCV) 2015-2017 $99,843 Sector: Agriculture (Dairy) 3241-ZWE Town/City: Bulawayo district Summary: The project funds will be used to hire a full-time project manager, bookkeeper, and production attendant; train staff members; purchase accounting software, develop policies for finances, human resources, and procurement; develop a business plan and a market feasibility study; acquire health and product quality certifications, and office equipment. The funds will also be used to provide feed, drugs, and chemicals to keep the existing herd in good condition as well as to expand the current dairy herd.

Heather Chimhoga Orphan Care 2015-2017 $99,682 Sector: Agriculture (Poultry) (HCOC) Town/City: Murewa 4002-ZWE Summary: The project funds will be used to train staff in good governance practices; purchase chicks, stock feed, and feeding and watering equipment; improve disease management with drugs to prevent mortality; computerize records; and improve branding and marketing.

Nyahava Paprika Growers 2015-2017 $96,452 Sector: Agricultural Export (Paprika) Cooperative Limited Town/City: District 4065-ZWE Summary: The project funds will be used to train staff in good governance practices; purchase accounting software; train farmers in improved horticultural practices and the farming business; establish a bulking station for storage; develop accounting and human resource policy manuals; hire a full-time field officer to provide technical assistance to farmers; purchase a motorcycle and bicycles for provision of extension services; and purchase office equipment.

Tony Waite Organization 2015-2018 $222,200 Sector: Agriculture (Dried Fish) 4083-ZWE Town/City: , Mashonaland West Province Summary: The project funds will be used to increase the group’s production of dried Kapenta and improve and expand marketing efforts. The funds will allow for the purchase of three fishing boats, construction of a processing factory and procurement and installation of a packing line. The funds will also be used to support income generating activities and employment for women and youth.

Nyanga Paprika Exports 2015-2017 $99,816 Sector: Agricultural Export (Paprika) Cooperative Town/City: 4084-ZWE Summary: The project funds will be used to train staff in good governance practices; purchase computers, accounting software; purchase crops; attend international trade fairs; develop accounting and human resource policy manuals; hire a full-time marketing officer to provide technical assistance to farmers; purchase 2 motorcycles to strengthen out-grower support; purchase bailing and loading equipment; and instill business communication and negotiating skills.

Samanyika Kumboedza 2015-2018 $226,475 Sector: Agriculture (Potatoes) and Export (Paprika) Association (SKA) Town/City: Nyanga 4158-ZWE Summary: The project funds will be used to increase the size of the association’s revolving loan fund for farmers, purchase a truck for transport; build a warehouse for proper storage of inputs and paprika and an office space for the association staff; and expand into the export market for paprika.

Kupakwashe Cattle Fattening 2015-2017 $99,803 Sector: Agriculture (Beef) Cooperative Society Limited Town/City: Tarugarira , of 4226-ZWE Summary: The project funds will be used to hire office staff; train staff in good governance practices; purchase accounting software and train staff in financial management; develop policies for finances, human resources, and procurement; hire consultants to develop business and marketing plans; purchase office equipment; and capitalize the pen fattening project with appropriate beef herds.

Domboshawa Dairy Production and 2016-2019 $229,880 Sector: Agriculture (Dairy) Marketing Expansion Project Town/City: Harare 4292-ZWE Summary: Domboshawa Dairy Farmers Agricultural Cooperative Society Ltd. (“DDFACS” or “Domboshawa”) is a membership-based group of smallholder dairy farmers in Domboshava area. DDFACS promotes the economic and social interests of the members through profitable collective dairy production and marketing. Domboshawa’s locality and surrounding suburbs have unmet demand for milk.

Rusitu United Farmers Dairy 2016-2019 $230,901 Sector: Agriculture (Dairy) Project Town/City: District 4337-ZWE Summary: The project aims to increase members incomes through assistance of a cattle revolving loan fund. USADF funds will assist Rusitu United Dairy Farmers Cooperative to: a) train staff and board members in good governance practices; b) purchase pure dairy cows; c) administration of artificial inseminations, and training of herd and fodder management, and basic dairy entrepreneurship; d) procure tillage and planting equipment; e) procurement of processing equipment; f) training on processing for the processors; g) undertake study tours.

Watsomba Dairy Cooperative 2016-2019 $239,360 Sector: Agriculture (Dairy) Society Limited Town/City: Watsomba 4425-ZWE Summary: The project intends to increase the production and yields of milk and increase sales to enable the Cooperative members to earn increased and sustainable income. USADF funding will be used to increase the herd size of farmers through procurement of pure breed cows; increase the current area of fodder production to an average of 1.6 hectares per farmer and procure dairy processing equipment
