UVODNIK EDITORIAL Št. 6 / 2018 IGRA USTVARJALNOSTI – teorija in praksa urejanja prostora | THE CREATIVITY GAME – Theory and Practice of Spatial Planning Alenka Fikfak SPOŠTOVANI BRALEC Revija Igra ustvarjalnosti postaja stalnica tako v življenju urednikov, uredniškega odbora, mednarodnega odbora, avtorjev predhodnih številk in avtorjev izdaje, ki je pred nami. številka 6, vezana na leto 2018. Kaj smo raziskovali in ustvarjali v tem letu? Predvsem postajamo interdisciplinarni in mednarodni. Svoje delovanje smo razširili na Balkan, Bližnji vzhod in Baltik. Bralec se bo takoj vprašal, ali imajo te poteze kaj skupnega ali je to zgolj namen znanstvene uspešnosti in želja obdržati revijo pri življenju. Tako kot revijo premetava po vsebini z enega področja na drugo, se tudi o vsebini stroke sprašujem, kje smo v Sloveniji in kaj je drugačnega v tujini. Nič ni drugače, pa vseeno vse. Objekti so prav tako barviti, nedokončani, razmetani v prostoru, parcele neurejene … vse je skupek individualnosti, kompozicije brez kompozicije (vse dokler ne bo ta nova kompozicija dru- gačen red v neredu), z obenem ravnimi, poševnimi, dvokapnimi strehami, z dodanimi materiali od vsepovsod. Lahko bi rekli, da postajamo vse bolj globalni, saj ni več lokalne identitete. Vendar pa, ko v prostor vstopimo, se srečujemo s povsem različnim kulturološkim kontekstom. Ta na nas prenaša občutenja varnosti, spoštovanja, prijaznosti, sproščenosti, ugodja in tudi vse nasprotujoče občutke (zaznavni, izkustveni in doživljajski UVODNIK prostor). Pod vtisom različnih lokacij ugotavljam, da niso objekti, poseli- EDITORIAL tev, okolica tisti, ki ustvarjajo te občutke, temveč ljudje, kultura, tradicija. V ČLANEK nadaljevanju dodajam štiri slike, ki so nastale na potepanju, raziskovanju in pedagoškem delu na različnih lokacijah v letu 2018: Nemčija, Kosovo, ARTICLE Libanon in Japonska. Vsak raziskovalec bi z natančnostjo dela podal točne RAZPRAVA podatke, kje se katera slika nahaja in kakšen je njen pomen. Jaz pa prepu- DISCUSSION ščam vam, bralcem, da si ustvarite mnenje o teh štirih vtisih. Vsak od teh RECENZIJA »trenutkov, zajetih na mobitel« ima nepozabno doživetje življenja v sebi. REVIEW Pa ne zaradi lepote ambienta, temveč zaradi doživetja, trenutka, preple- PROJEKT tenega s počutjem in občutjem. Raziskovalno bi vsak trenutek razčlenili z datumom, uro, vremenskimi pogoji, lokacijo, okoljskimi parametri, kot so PROJECT veter, sonce, dež; in tudi počutjem človeka v prostoru: glavobol, nepre- DELAVNICA spanost, zainteresiranost za okolico, želja po hoji, pasivnost dojemanja WORKSHOP ter grajenega prostora v odnosu do naravnega ... Prav takšni so letošnji NATEČAJ prispevki. Navidezno z vseh vetrov. A vsak v sebi skriva ne samo raziskave, COMPETITION temveč doživetje spoznanja in spoznavanja z revijo ter potovanje v pisa- PREDSTAVITEV nju znanstvenega prispevka. Alenka Fikfak MASTER THESIS urednica revije IU 8 IGRA USTVARJALNOSTI – teorija in praksa urejanja prostora | THE CREATIVITY GAME – Theory and Practice of Spatial Planning No 6 / 2018 DEAR READER The Igra ustvarjalnosti/The Creativity Game journal has become a constant in the lives of its editors, the Editorial Board, the International Board, and its contributors, past and present. The current volume (2018) is Volume 6. What did we study and create this past year? We are becoming an interdisciplinary and international journal. We spread our activities to the Balkans, Middle East, Baltic. The reader will immediately wonder about the common denominator. Is it only about fulfiling scientific performance and the desire to keep the jour- nal alive? Similarly to the journal’s content changing from one field to another, I also wonder about the profession’s content – where do we stand in Slovenia and what is different abroad. Nothing is different yet everything is different. Buildings are colourful, unfinished, scattered, land plots disorganised – a mix of individuality, composition without composition (until this new composition becomes a different kind of order in disorder), with flat, pitched, gable roofs at the same time, with materials added from everywhere. We are becoming inc- reasingly global, the local identity no longer exists. But when we enter a space we come across a completely different cultural context. It gives us a sense of security, respect, friendliness, relaxation, comfort, and contrasting feelings as well (cognitive, experiential space). Under the impression of various places I find that rather than buildings, settlement, and surroundings, it is people, culture, and tradition that cause these feelings. Coogee NSW April 2017 0 Introduction The Australian Lebanese Historical Society Inc. was formed in 1999 and incorporated in New South Wales in June 2006. The Society aims to encourage scholarship in the study of the history of Lebanese settlement in Australia, highlight the contributions those of Lebanese heritage have made to Australian society and to promote the establishment of archives relating to this history. The Society first envisaged that it could act as conduit for people who wished to deposit historically important material to public collections. This, however, proved to be impractical because private citizens tend not to have historical papers arranged in a fashion where they can be transferred to an archive without much cost and staff resources. Even large public archives tend not have the resources to accept unarranged, unsorted papers into their collections. Moreover, the Society needed to lobby public collection managers for them to understand the historical importance of what is on offer. The material the Society acquired was often donated by members and supporters who saw the value of the material they held but could not find a repository. It was also acquired as a result of research undertaken for various Society activities, exhibitions and publications. Over the last 17 years Society volunteers led by Paul Convy as honorary librarian have built on what was at first just an accumulation of papers into a working library and archives collection with finding aids and access points to allow the collection to be used by researchers.

Youssef Bey Karam was a Lebanese nationalist leader, of a Maronite Christian family, who led the national resistance against the occupation of the Ottoman Empire. He died in exile in Italy in 1889 and his naturally mummified body returned to Lebanon the following year. Here we show the results of the anthropo- logical and paleopathological analyses performed on the mummy during its restoration and preservation. The biological profile that emerged from anthropological investigations corresponds to the Karam’s biographical data. The tomographic analyses, in addition to detecting the persistence of the internal organs, highlighted some pathological conditions: multiple healed fractures, osteoarthritis of the lumbar vertebral column, and dental caries with periodontal disease. In particular, the computed tomography showed the thickening of the bronchial tree, and opacity of the pulmonary parenchyma at the level of the hilum of the right lung. These conditions are consistent with a diagnosis of bronchopneumonia, that is the same diagnosis, that was pro- posed by the pathologist on his death certificate, on 7 April, 1889. The osteology of Gladiopycnodus karami gen. et sp. nov., of Monocerichthys scheuchzeri gen. et sp. nov. and of Rostropycnodus gayeti gen. et sp. nov., three new fossil fishes from the marine Cenomanian (Late Cretaceous) of Lebanon, is studied in detail. Some of their cranial characters and the presence of a postcoelomic bone clearly refer these fishes to the order Pycnodontiformes. However, they differ from all other described Pycnodontiformes by two important characters. Their snout is elongated as a rostrum, formed by the enlarged prefrontal and the toothless premaxilla, with this premaxilla sutured by its upper margin to the lower margin of the prefrontal. Their pectoral fin is replaced by a strong spine articulated with the cleithrum.

Drawing upon graphic and verbal depictions of tourist routes, railways, supply chains, demographics, topographic features and telephone and telegraph lines, the article analyses representations of an unstable border at a moment of peak uncertainty. In so doing, it reveals the centrality of architects, engineers, tourist bureaus, artists and cartographers in forging an imaginary geography that correlated with emerging political divisions in post-war Europe. On both sides of the contested border, cartography was utilised to change the way people conceived political geography. Maps, the article argues, both revealed existing mental maps and helped to shape new ones. In 1918, a group of international diplomats convened to redraw the map of central, eastern and south- eastern Europe. This language of ‘redrawing the map’ is regularly recited in studies of the end of the First World War, a moment when more than a dozen new states were founded in lands that had belonged to the Austro-Hungarian, Russian, German and Ottoman empires.1 But what did such an idea mean on the ground? In what ways would these invisible, often arbitrary political boundaries become realities in daily lives? Charted maps created in this period offer us some clues.

    UDC :725.182(497.5)"652" Claustra Alpium Iuliarum: a Research Plan Mario ZACCARIA Independent Researcher Rijeka, Croatia Abstract. – After the golden age of the Roman Empire, from Augustus to Marcus Aurelius, known as the Pax Augusta, a time of insecurity starts, in which the Empire must be defended on all fronts. There are frequent barbarian raids on the territory of Illyricum and Italy, and defensive measures are being taken. One of these is Claustra Alpium Iuliarum, a system of defensive walls (barriers), forts and towers in the current Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Croatia, designed as early as the time of the emperor Gallienus. It lasted until the emperor Theodosius 400 A.D. Claustra ought to be systematically researched with new technologies available (LiDAR, GIS and georadar), archaeological excavation should be perfor- med, and Claustra should be presented to scientific and general audience and inclu- ded in the List of UNESCO World Heritage.1 Introduction: What are the defensive walls of the Julian Alps? The term “claustra” refers to the series of forts on uneven ground, whose purpose is to ward off the enemy, as well as the entire defensive line2. In the period between the two world wars, the latent tensions between the European nations resulted in the construction of defensive positions on the borderlines of major European countries. Under the same conditions, the Ital- ian Kingdom built an extensive fortification line, i.e. the Alpine Wall. The Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes (SHS) replied to it with the Rupnik Line. On the base of the Treaty of Rapallo, a 289-km long demarcation line was built with an exceptional defence infrastructure, which interfered with vast natural areas of exceptional quality that are protected by various nature conservation regimes today. The research presented in this paper is focused on a specific land expropriation. The goal is to understand the historical perspectives and assess the current significance of this fortification system with its impact on the natural environment. The system of spatial assessment of the architectural, urban, regional and spatial plan- ning aspects and landscape interpretation has been developed with the use of spatial planning mapping and other methods. It was tested on the case study of the Žiri Municipality to establish a possible systemic base on which the entirety of the Rapallo border with its defence infrastructures could be mapped and their contemporary role assessed.
