Welsh and Half-Welsh/Part Bred - Section A, B, C and D 1. All entries must be registered in the stud book of the Welsh Pony Welsh Pony Show Society of America, Inc. or the Welsh Section of the Canadian Pony Double Judged Gold Show Society and must be entered under their full registered name, or if under one year, be eligible for registration. 2. All halter ponies age 6 and over and all performance ponies must either have a WPCSA permanent measurement card, two WPCSA Thursday and Friday temporary cards, an USEF measurement card or be measured. September 1-2, 2016 Measurement Time - September 1-2, 2016 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. 3. A photocopy of the WPCSA Certificate of Registration in the current 9:00 a.m. owner’s name must be presented before the animal can be assigned a number or enter the ring. 4. Removing the bridle from an animal harnessed to a vehicle, or leaving an animal unattended while hitched, anywhere on the show grounds, Judges: will result in instant elimination from the show grounds. Junior exhibitors must wear approved protective headgear (ASTM/ SEI) at all times whenever mounted or in a driven vehicle at all times Ashland, Virginia while on the show grounds. This show has applied for a WPCSA Gold Sanctioning Double Point Lucedale, Mississippi Show by the Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America. All ponies shown in the halter classes will pay $5.00 per pony per judge and if not shown in Halter, but Performance only the fee will be $5.00. 7. To be led by an adult or a junior age 12 or over. Both handler and rider to be appropriately attired. English or Western attire is acceptable. RIDERS ineligible for other ribbon classes except costume, leading rein, leadline walk, leadline walk-trot, and leadine walk-trot poles. F954. WPCSA Leadline Walk - Shown both ways of the ring at a walk. F955. WPCSA Leadline Walk-Trot - Shown both ways of the ring at a walk and trot. WPCSA Walk-Trot (Article 115.5) Class open to rider 11 years and under mounted on ponies/cobs/half-welsh/partbred, mares and geldings. Judged on equitation and suitability of mount. To walk and trot/jog both ways of the ring. English or Western attire is acceptable. Possible test to include: walk, trot/jog, turn, hald and rein back at spots marked. RIDERS ineligible for other ridden classes except costume, leading rein, child’s first pony, walk and walk-trot poles. F956. WPCSA Walk - Shown both ways of the ring at a walk. F957. WPCSA Walk-Trot - Shown both ways of the ring at a walk and trot. WPCSA Welsh English Pleasure (Article 112.3) Classes open to ponies/cobs/half-welsh/partbred, mares and geldings. To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring on light contact without a martingale. To be judged 75% on performance, manners, movement and style; 25% on breed type and conformation.
