One thing Mahealani remembered is participation of establishing the Ahapuaa Boundary Markers for the four Mokus on Oahu. Benton would also like to remember the Kupuna or club member who have passed of Ke One O Kakuhihewa Council. One of the questions was how does AOHCC respond to and distribute to Section 106 questions and statements. The protocol from the Association president is that he identifies what Moku is associated with then he send the information to the presidents of the Moku council. Information discussed at Association Board Meeting shown under Assocation Directors Report. Convention and Meetings Gave report on the upcoming 2021 Oahu Convention. (PeeWee Ryan) Pee Wee Conventions Chair for Ke One O Kākuhihewa and Lorna Akima Convention and Committee Chair for the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs have been working very hard with Hawaiʻi Convention Center along with several hotels. Report on Ke One O Kākuhihewa Council Convention – Oct. 31 – Nov. 7, 2021. The Conventions Committee has been working really hard to secure venues for this convention. The Hawaiʻi Convention Center would be able to accommodate us for 7 days. Council is holding the dates of Oct. 31 – Nov. 7, 2021 for now. Committee is working on rooms at Ala Moana Hotel at $120.00 and Hawaii Prince Waikiki Hotel, Alohilani, Marriott, Hyatt Regency to accommodate our members. 2021 is also the year of the Con Con for the Association. Question asked by Toni Lee about maybe going back on the ship. Marlene Ebeo said that she is willing to look into that. Benton said he would really like to have the 2021 Convention on Oʻahu and have our members enjoy all the Huakaʻi that are in our different Mokus. Committee Members for the Ke One O Kākuhihewa Council are Pee Wee Ryan, Roth Puahala, Kalani Kaanaana, Daniel Nahoopii, and Benton Pang. Moʻoheu Kālā (Ways and No Report Means) Marlene Sai Hoʻokele (Policy and Mona Bernadino to give verbal report. Governance) Mona Bernardino Committee members are Mona Bernadino, Ike Kaaihue and Pi`ikea Tomcyzk. This committee was given two tasks of helping to charter two clubs into Ke One O Kākuhihewa Council They are Princess Elizabeth Kahanu Hawaiian Civic Club and Princess Ruth Ke`eliiokalani HCC. Princess Elizabeth Kahanu submitted their Constitution and By-Laws and have done their due diligence to become a new member of Ke One O Kākuhihewa and the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs. 3 The committee was also tasked about the distribution of Ke One O Kākuhihewa Email List. The committee was also asked to pull all the Policies and Procedures over the years and agreed to put the past Policies and Procedures all together. Piikea and Ike offered to help to this task. The committee has sorted all the information Piikea and Ike had by topic and they need to finalize it and bring it back to the Council. Mona brought up is their tasks is to bring all the Policies and Procedures of the past and put them into a Manual for the boards review and discussion. Benton asked that the committee organize and put the Policies and Procedures that were passed by the previous Counciol together so if any member of the Council needed to look up any information regarding the past Policies and Procedures that we have them all together and it would be easier to look up any information. Ike had a questions as to if the Council wants this committee to gather all the information of all the Policies and Procedures of the past and where would the Council like the Committee to start. The controlling of emails. There are still people that have difficulty in giving emails to the council for the purpose of civic club use only. The committee would like the Council Membership to make a motion for this committee to ack on this request. We will look into the July meeting minutes if Rusty’s motion was recorded and if it is in the minutes. A point was made that this request made by the President does not need a montion and the President is asking the committee to gather and organize the back Policies and Procedures that have already been acted upon and put in a manual.
