Players Full Name: Hannah Nandan University representing: ANU Jersey Number: 12

Hannah ‘Nandos’ Nandan began playing Ultimate this year with ANU Ultimate, having been recruited by a dog and a frispig at Open Day. Since then Hannah has been one of ANU’s fastest developing athletes and leaders. Hannah’s speed, incredible hands, and cutting ability has seen her stand out at her first tournament, UMUC, and her meme-ability, high-level of spirit and leadership has seen her nominate as the First-year representative on the ANU Ultimate Club’s Executive. In this position she has helped organise ANU’s AMUC Div 2 team, put on enriching social events, and spun up a fresh meme or two. If her skills on the field or in the board room don’t wow you know that Hannah is one of a select bunch who holds a visual storyteller badge on ANU Ultimate Club’s Facebook Page. It is a pleasure to nominate one of ANU’s best up and coming talents and leaders for the encouragement award.

*** Players Full Name: Sarah Ethell University representing: USYD Jersey Number: 9 It’s hard to believe that Sarah has only been playing this sport for a year. Her playing career began with a gold medal winning campaign at Div 1 UniSport Nationals in 2018 with the SUUFA Women’s team. Since then, Sarah has made every team she has tried out for, as well as some teams that she hasn’t, involving herself in this year’s mixed season with VLS. On-field, her natural talent made her an excellent receiver early in her career, and as she worked to develop her throws and game sense, she became vital inclusion in SUUFA’s teams for 2019. Off-field, Sarah has been a great part of the SUUFA club culture, where she is also social director.
