This project will link in to events happening all over Greater as part of Peterloo 200. Protest and Peterloo in Middleton will engage 180 pupils in six free workshops and 450 participants in a family friendly event at Middleton Arena.

Appendix 4F Middleton Holiday @ Home Fit and Fed 2019 Middleton Yes Link4Life £15,000 Township People Project Middleton Holiday @ Home Fit and Fed 2019 aims to deliver sessions throughout the summer holidays in 2019 across the Township to children and families that are struggling as a Description result of not having access to free school meals or able to afford holiday provision. ‘Fit’ sessions will consist of a variety of sports, games, fundamental activities, pulse raising activities as well as arts and crafts themed sessions. Positive sessions that improve mental wellbeing as well as physical wellbeing will also be included in the programme of activities. Coordinated by Link4Life in the build-up to and throughout the summer holidays at no cost to Middleton Township. In addition every child will receive a free healthy lunch every day they attend. It is proposed to enhance the existing small Description ponds/bog garden in Truffet Park with plants and floral features to reflect the swamp-like climate and environment of the area when Dippy was alive (150m years ago) and to encourage biodiversity in the park, particularly some of the creatures that were alive when the dinosaurs existed such as dragonflies, newts and frogs.
