ABOUT OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: JEB AND MARTIN O’MALLEY is the son of former President George H.W. Bush and and was elected the 43rd governor of the state of Florida on November 3, 1998, and was re-elected by a wide margin in 2002. His second term as governor ended in January 2007. He started a small real estate development company, which grew to become the largest, full-service commercial real estate company in South Florida. Bush led his own successful consulting business, Jeb Bush and Associates, whose clients ranged from small technology start-ups to well-known Fortune 500 compa- nies. He has co-authored Pro les in Character, a book pro ling 14 of Florida’s civic heroes–people making a dierence without claiming a single news headline. He is also the co-author of Immigration Wars: Forging an American Solution (March 2013) and author of Reply All (October 2015).

MARTIN O’MALLEY served the people of as governor from 2007 to 2015. Under his leadership, Maryland made sweeping investments in public safety, college education, aordable healthcare, and economic growth - With a balanced approach of spending cuts, regulatory reform, and modern investments in educa- tion, innovation and infrastructure. Governor O’Malley cut more state spending than any governor in modern Maryland history—$9.7 billion in cuts over eight years. Prior to becoming governor, O’Malley served as mayor of the city of Balti- more from 1999 until 2007. Over his seven years as Mayor, O’Malley’s policies helped the people of Baltimore achieve the greatest crime reduction of America’s largest cities. He also promoted important investments in the local econo- my—bringing scal stability to schools and cracking down on crime, which drew investments and people back to the city.
