Members, I have received notices of Adjournment Motion from Shri Rajesh Ranjan, Dr. Boora Narsaiah Goud, and Shri K.C. Venugopal. The matter raised by Shri Rajesh Ranja is a matter of State Government and every now and then, the State matters cannot be raised here. The matters of other Members can be raised through other opportunities after the Question Hour. I have, therefore, disallowed all the notices of the Adjournment Motion. Now, Question Hour. 21.04.2015 :: Hng-Ks Uncorrected / Not for Publication 9 (Q. 381) SHRI ANTO ANTONY (PATHANAMTHITTA): Madam, farmers are getting meagre amount as compensation compared to the huge loss incurred by them due to crop failure in natural calamities. A farmer may not be able to recover from this huge loss in his lifetime and he will always be in debt trap and financial crisis. This is a major reason behind the alarming number of farmers committing suicide in the country. Therefore, I would like to know from the hon. Minister has declared in the House that sea aggression and thunder are included in the natural calamities and also to provide the financial assistance to the people suffered by it. My constituency is bordering with thick forest. The holy shrine Sabarimalai is in my constituency. Every year, a lot of deaths occurred due to snake bites. There is a statistics which says that more than 50,000 die every year due to snake bites. At the time of his demise, Shri Reddy was a sitting member of the Andhra Pradesh legislative Assembly. He was earlier also a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly during 1992 to 1996. Shri B.V.N. Reddy passed away on 12 March, 2017 in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh at the age of 53. We deeply mourn the loss of Shri B.V.N. Reddy and I am sure the House would join me in conveying our condolences to the bereaved family. The Members then stood in silence for a short while. STATEMENT BY MINISTER Re: Recent incidents of Attack on Members of Indian Diaspora in the United States. THE MINISTER OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (SHRIMATI SUSHMA SWARAJ): I rise to make a statement to brief this august House on the recent incidents of attack on Indian and members of Indian Diaspora in the United States. In last three weeks, three incidents of physical attack in the United States on Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin have come to the notice of the Government.

Reddy who was a member of the 11th to 13th Lok Sabhas representing the Nandyal Parliamentary Constituency of Andhra Pradesh. He was a member of the Committee on Finance; Committee on External Affairs; Committee on Transport and Tourism; Committee on Energy and the Committee on Provision of Computers to members of Parliament. At the time of his demise, Shri Reddy was a sitting member of the Andhra Pradesh legislative Assembly. He was earlier also a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly during 1992 to 1996. Shri B.V.N. Reddy passed away on 12 March, 2017 in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh at the age of 53. We deeply mourn the loss of Shri B.V.N. Reddy and I am sure the House would join me in conveying our condolences to the bereaved family. The Members then stood in silence for a short while.
