Ved kgl. resolusjon 23 januar 1931 blev herredsnavnet Hølandet (Sør-Trøndelag fylke) forandret til Hølonda. 3. Den 6 mars 1931 er sanksjonert lov om forandring i lov av 4 juni 1929 om navne- skifte for byen Trondhjem — hvorefter navnet blev Trondheim.
