Fark›ndas›n›z… Bu 5 y›ld›r, do¤rudan ya da dolayl› olarak bizleri etkileyen maliyetlerde yaflanan art›fllardan etkilenmemeniz için elimizden geleni yapt›k. Sizlere, y›lda 12 say› ulaflt›rd›¤›m›z› düflünecek olursan›z, bu art›fllar› sizlere yans›tmamak için gösterdi¤imiz çabay› daha iyi anlayaca¤›n›za inan›yoruz. Her ne kadar, y›llard›r size yans›tmamak için elimizden gelen çabay› göstermifl olsak da, bask› ve özellikle de toplu da¤›t›m maliyetlerinde yaflanan art›fllar malumunuz. Toplu da¤›t›m firmas›yla yapm›fl oldu¤umuz, bizden talep ettikleri da¤›t›m ücretlerinin düflürülmesine iliflkin görüflmelerimizin de sonuçsuz kalmas›, bizleri, geçen süre zarf›nda sizlere yans›tmad›¤›m›z bu art›fllar›, 2011 y›l› itibariyle uygulamaya koymaya mecbur k›ld›. Asl›nda, yeni y›lla birlikte da¤›t›m maliyetlerinde yaflanan bu son art›fl›n, bir noktada al›flkanl›klar›m›z›n esiri oldu¤umuzu fark etmemize yol açt›¤›n› da söyleyebiliriz. Senelerdir, yay›na haz›rlanan, matbaaya gönderilen ve bas›lan dergi, oradan da toplu bir flekilde da¤›t›m firmas›na gönderildi ve da¤›t›m firmas› taraf›ndan da tüm Türkiye’ye da¤›t›ld›… Siz de yolunuz düfltü¤ünde herhangi bir bayiye u¤ray›p, ald›n›z… Bu sürecin prosedürü azd› ve bedeli her geçen gün a¤›rlaflsa da, hepimiz, iflin kolay›na kaçmam›za neden olan bu düzene al›flm›flt›k… Ancak son geliflmeler, dergiyi, kaç›n›lmaz bir flekilde yap›lmas› gereken fiyat art›fl›nda rol oynayan bu maliyetlerden etkilenmeden sizlere nas›l ulaflt›rabilece¤imiz üzerinde düflünmemizde de etkili oldu. “Nas›l olsa bu do¤al süreç, maliyetler, fiyat art›fllar› ortada, okuyucu da durumun fark›nda, bizim sorunumuz de¤il” deme flans›m›z olsa da, bu yola sizlerle birlikte ç›km›fl olmam›z, bu durumun bizim de sorunumuz olmas› anlam›n› tafl›yordu. Bu süreç, tek bir seçene¤e iflaret ediyordu: Kontrolümüzde olmayan maliyetleri devre d›fl› b›rakmam›z durumunda, dergi, çok daha ekonomik bir flekilde sat›fla sunulabilirdi. Bunun için ise az önce bahsetti¤imiz al›flkanl›klar›m›z› biraz de¤ifltirmemiz yeterli olacakt›. Neden daha önce düflünmemifltik ki? Bayi kanal›yla da¤›t›m sürecini ve o cephedeki toplu da¤›t›m maliyetlerini kontrol etmemiz mümkün olmasa da her zaman için bir alternatifimiz vard›. Dergiyi bayiden sat›n almak yerine, dergiye abone olman›n tercih edilmesi durumunda, biz de bu maliyetleri sat›fl fiyat›na, dolay›s›yla size yans›tmak zorunda kalmayacakt›k. Daha önce, okuyucular›m›z›n, sadece dergiye biraz daha indirimli kavuflma mekanizmas› olan abonelik, flimdi çok daha cazip bir hale gelmiflti. Brief Analysis The GCC-backed ground campaign to liberate Sana is building momentum, but urgent points of focus for U.S. security cooperation are becoming evident as Houthi resistance stiffens. ince liberating the southern port city of Aden in July, forces loyal to Yemeni president Hadi Abdu Rabu S Mansour and their Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) allies have been engaged in a multipronged offensive to roll back Houthi control of the south. The United Arab Emirates mechanized brigade task force and Egyptian special forces backed by Emirati and Saudi AH-64 Apache helicopters are now battling to control Taizz, Yemen's third- largest city. Similar task forces have fanned out into Abyan, Bayda, and Ibb provinces, advancing within a hundred kilometers of the capital and liberating the Balhaf oil terminal. Houthi resistance has been stiffening in recent weeks, however. On August 25, a UAE-supported column ran into a Houthi ambush near Mukayras in Bayda province, losing at least seven UAE-supplied mine-resistant ambush- protected (MRAP) vehicles.
