2 INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION (2018)

Meetings held with leading international organizations such as UNDP, OSCE, EU, OECD, UNEP, ESCAP, IRENA and financial institutions as the World Bank, EBRD, Asian Development Bank. Relevant applications for grants and funding for the implementation of joint promising projects have been sent, some of which have already received preliminary approval.

Negotiations were held with leading companies and similar green centers to attract green technologies and investments in such countries as China, Japan, Korea, USA, UAE, Denmark, as well as within the framework of the President's visits to Finland and Belgium.

In 2018, 30 memorandums and agreements were signed with international partners, including a Memorandum of understanding with the International Renewable Energy Agency IRENA;

International conferences were held: with OECD "Implementation of best available technologies (BAT) principles in Kazakhstan", with Korean center "development of green information and communication technologies", with UNDP and ESCAP " Sustainable urban infrastructure in Kazakhstan: green building indicators»; 3 training sessions were held jointly with ESCAP on the nationalization of the UN SDGs in Kazakhstan. Promotion of the initiative of the Head of the state "Green Bridge“ Partnership Program (GBPP) – elaboration of the accession of other countries to the GBPP (China, Korea, );

Attraction of investments and technologies from the 22 leading countries; Strengthening and expanding cooperation with international and regional organizations (e.g. Korea Institute for global green growth GGGI);

Inclusion of the IGTIC in official visits, participation of the IGTIC in Business councils and Intergovernmental commissions; Participation of IGTIC in activities on attracting investments and technologies (Ministry of foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the Committee on Investments, JSC "Kazakh Invest", etc.)

Promoting SDGs of the UN in Kazakhstan; Participation in the development of a Voluntary national review of Kazakhstan on the UN SDGs; Study of best practices in implementing the objectives of the UN SDGs. KAZAKHSTAN‘S TRANSITION TO BEST AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGY (BAT) PRINCIPLES

IN 2019 IT IS PLANNED TO CONDUCT A TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH OF ENTERPRISES IN THE ENERGY SECTOR OF KAZAKHSTAN FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF BAT Technological (THE OBJECTS research: OF CATEGORY a preparatory I workTHAT for USE the development COAL, GAS of AND Technical OIL) Ref erence Document (BREF) on BAT (16 enterprises of the energy industry);  The purpose of technological research: assessment of technological potential of enterprises, identification of strengths and weaknesses of enterprises. Compliance of technologies to age structure; 4. Emissions monitoring; 5. Resource saving (consumption of natural resources).

Reference: according to the official source of JSC "KEGOC“, there are 128 power generating enterprises in Kazakhstan, includi ng:  Up to 600 MW and 200 Gcal- 40 enterprises;  600 MW / 200 Gcal and more- 16 enterprises;

Execution of the state task on the implementation of the budget program 044 " Promotion of accelerated transition of Kazakhstan to a green economy through the promotion of technology and best practices, business development and investment»:

In 2018: Work carried out :  analytical review on the transition of energy enterprises of Kazakhstan to the principles of BAT;  the concept of Kazakhstan's transition to the principles of BAT for a period of 5 years;  review of international experience on BAT;  international conference with the participation of foreign experts on BAT. The total amount of 68.8 million tenge.

In 2019: Implementation of the following activities:  Research (report) of the current state of the energy industry enterprises regarding the transition to the principles of BAT;  Analysis of the use of green technologies in the Republic of Kazakhstan;  number of enterprises using green technologies;  Project of Methodology for measuring the progress of the "green economy in the regions";  form of the Register of green technologies, including green technologies used at enterprises and selected at EXPO-2017 taking into account the achieved environmental effect;  draft of the National report on Kazakhstan's transition to a green economy for 2017-2018. Advocacy for the introduction of green technologies, including an International conference. The total amount is 945.2 million tenge. REGIONAL COOPERATION
