Version du 4 octobre 2016 Page 1/7 The ZOE’s record driving range consolidates Renault’s lead in electric vehicles - Good morning and welcome to the Renault stand. I’m very happy to be here today because this is a special time for us at Renault… This year at the Paris Motor Show, we’d like to give everyone the opportunity to RE-discover Renault! - Renault is now a brand with a completely new product range. We have four electric vehicles, 15 redesigned models and 11 all-new cars! - The RENAULT ZOE premiered at the Paris Motor Show four years ago. It was the first all-electric city car with contemporary styling along with an affordable price tag! - This month, Renault’s sales of electric vehicles took us beyond 100,000 units. We’re are the leading electric-vehicle manufacturer in Europe. And in the rest of the world, together with Nissan; our market share stands at 50 percent of the global electric car market. And this growing market is attracting more and more carmakers. - The ZOE now accounts for 10 percent of Renault’s city car sales in the B segment in France. The ZOE is number one in France and also the best-selling electric vehicle in Europe. - The vast majority of our customers assure us that “there’s no going back once you buy an electric car”, not for anything in the world. Our electric cars, especially the ZOE, put the enjoyment back into driving. - Who else would have made such a bet? We at Renault believed in electric cars from the very beginning and we pushed ahead with our electric vehicle strategy… now we’re going further. - 2 - Today, I’m here to announce that we have doubled the ZOE’s driving range. Fitted with the new Z.E. 40 battery, the ZOE’s all-electric NEDC cycle driving range is now at 400 kilometres. - 400 kilometres – not four years down the track… not next year… but right now. - 400 kilometres NEDC is equivalent to 300 kilometres in city driving situations, based on our customers’ current usage patterns. We’ve removed the final psychological barrier to switching to all- electric motoring. - This means customers can now use ZOE for daily commutes of 40 kilometres and you only need to charge your car once a week. Don’t forget that in Europe there are more than 80,000 public charging stations in operation, and charging points are located every 80 kilometres along motorways… We have reached a critical point. You can now drive electric with full peace of mind. - The focus of our strategy is on making our customers’ lives easier. That’s why we’ve introduced two new connected services for the ZOE: ZE Trip can help the driver locate all the charging points available in the main European countries in real time via R-LINK or the internet. ZE Pass is an easy smartphone payment solution for charging points. - By doubling the ZOE’s driving range right now, here at Renault we have provided concrete evidence of our ability to innovate. As a pioneer and leader in electric motoring, we are trailblazers in the fast- growing electric vehicle market. - 3 - Let me add that this new battery, which we developed in association with our partner LG Chem, was designed and is being assembled in France, just like the ZOE. - True to our long history of innovation, Renault was the first carmaker to believe that electric vehicles were part of the future of the car industry. With the environmental issues facing the planet, we were convinced that an alternative form of mobility for all was possible. - Today we’ve got an electric car with a driving range of 400 kilometres for an affordable price tag. It is perfect for daily commutes in cities and easy to run. Everything we have been working for is now a reality. 1. A completely renewed product range and the youngest range in Europe - The ZOE is a proud member of the Renault range, and Renault is now the best-selling French car brand in the world. We’ve achieved this by completely overhauling our brand while launching a new and improved product range. Our product offensive across every segment is unprecedented. - It’s the outcome of a vigorous and exciting process. In the space of less than four years, we have launched 30 products, and I would like to introduce you to the Renault people who successfully engineered this product offensive. Here they are, they are going to invite you RE- discover Renault! - 4 - UNVEILING OF VEHICLES IN TWO STAGES (the CEO stays on stage during the unveiling) 1 min. o Last vehicle unveiled: the Koleos IP - This is Renault’s new face: a new and improved product range that has been extended and enhanced. Just this year alone, we’ll be releasing ten new models worldwide, and six will be on display to the public here in Paris for the first time – the new Scénic and the new Grand Scénic, the new refreshed Clio, the Renault Alaskan, our first 1-tonne pickup for the global market, the new Mégane Sedan and the new Koleos. - Renault now has the youngest range in Europe! - From the Twingo right up to the Espace, our product range proudly embodies our identity. Renault is synonymous with French design, innovative concepts and pure, sensuous and warm styling which can now be seen across all our models, both inside and out. Our design has won over new customers and won awards. And it’s now the primary reason our customers buy a Renault. - Our product range features redesigns of our iconic models – the Twingo, the Clio and the Scénic – plus a broader range of crossovers. The Captur and the Kadjar have topped the rankings in their respective classes and will soon be as familiar in Europe as the Clio and the Mégane! - Our product range now includes a high-end line which showcases our expertise across four models – the Talisman saloon and Estate, the Espace and our newcomer, the Renault KOLEOS. - 5 - The KOLEOS combines the refinement of a large saloon car with the robust styling of an SUV. The Paris Motor Show will give you a preview of the INITIALE PARIS version of the Renault KOLEOS. This high-end variant will be released in most European markets in the first half of 2017. - Our product range has been enhanced with the very best of Renault expertise and technology in the areas of travelling comfort and driving enjoyment. Some of our latest features include 4CONTROL, MULTI-SENSE and R-LINK, to name but a few. - This year, our top-of-the-line technology is available on the new Mégane, and these new features are unmatched in the C segment. Plus, we’ve got a full suite of driving aids and functions that will are paving the way for self-driving cars … from 2018 on, Renault will launch on the roads cars fitted with driving delegation features. - Technology is also the very essence of our brand and our cars. We want our Renault cars to be both appealing and innovative, designed as the perfect road companion and tailored to the needs and demands of our customers… to make their lives easier and more enjoyable. - Together with our partner Nissan, we can confirm that the Alliance’s goal is to become one of the world’s three largest automotive groups. We are entering a new phase. - I am here today to share with you a milestone in our history, which began 118 years ago, and which is an ongoing story. The concept car you’re about to see is the foreword to the next chapter of our history. And it’s shaping up to be just as exciting… This concept car foreshadows the styling of our new models and what better way to do so than with a - 6 gorgeous electric GT. This annual run for classic vehicles crosses historical Paris and takes in such celebrated districts as the Bastille and Montmartre, as well as the famous Place de l'Opéra and Place Vendôme. The Traversée de Paris features a staggering variety of pre-1980s vehicles which range from the popular Renault 4CV to the striking Bugatti Atlantic which are driven by collectors and enthusiasts from all backgrounds. In addition to the friendly atmosphere, the day's highlight will be a display of all the entered vehicles at the Fontaines du Trocadéro, opposite the Eiffel Tower, Paris, from 11am. As the official partner of this exceptional parade, Renault will be present with a number of cabriolets and vans of yesteryear, including several Florides and Estafettes, two models which celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2009 (see appendix for brief descriptions of both vehicles). Down memory boulevard… The inaugural Traversée de Paris was the result of the wild idea of a group of enthusiasts who decided to drive through Paris at the wheel of some weird and wonderful machines. Word of mouth, the good humoured nature of the day and the pleasure of having Paris to oneself for a moment has since turned the annual outing into a huge success. Indeed, the 2008 Traversée de Paris was so successful that the organisers received some 520 entries but regretfully had to put 170 cars on the waiting list because of limited parking space at the Fontaines du Trocadéro.

  • Bugatti Celebrates European Premiere of the Divo in Paris
Bugatti celebrates European premiere of the Divo in Paris Molsheim / Paris, 1 October 2018. The venue for the first public appearance of the Bugatti Divo1 on European soil could hardly be more appropriate. The Divo is coming home. The French luxury brand Bugatti is celebrating the European premiere of its latest model in Paris one month after its world premiere at “The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering” in Monterey, California. On the day before the first press day of the 2018 Paris Motor Show, Bugatti unveiled the Divo before an audience of selected media representatives and customers at an exclusive event in the French capital. In developing the Divo, Bugatti wanted to create a super sports car with a different character from the Chiron which would still be immediately recognizable as a Bugatti. The Divo, which is powered by Bugatti’s iconic eight-litre W16 engine with a power output of 1,500 PS, is tuned for agility, nimbleness and optimum handling performance on winding roads, without any concessions with respect to the usual levels of comfort and luxury. The aerodynamics of the model have been intensively fine-tuned and the suspension and chassis settings have been modified. As a result, the Divo is 35 kilograms lighter and has 90 kilograms more downforce than the standard Chiron2. The lateral acceleration of the Divo has been boosted to 1.6g. Its maximum speed is limited to 380 km/h. The progressive new design language underlines the inner values of the new super sports model the same time as forging a link with Bugatti’s rich coachbuilding heritage of bodies built to its own design and installed on existing chassis.
