Pernille Spiers-Lopez was named the President of IKEA USA/North America in February 2001 and officially assumed that role in June 2001. In more than 13 years at IKEA she has worked in different areas of the business including sales, retail management and human resources. Ms. Spiers-Lopez served as manager of human resources and was instrumental in developing and implementing progressive policies to benefit IKEA co-workers in the U.S. and Canada. Her first job at IKEA was as sales manager for the West Coast, and then she worked as store manager of the IKEA store in Pittsburgh.

Previously, she worked with smaller retail operations and was responsible for 24 Door Store furniture stores. In addition, she was part of a team that was responsible for opening two Stor furnishing stores in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Spiers-Lopez lives with her husband, Jason, and her two children, Sebastian and Sine in Narberth, PA.

Ellyn Spragins is currently Editor-At-Large at Fortune Small Business, part of the Fortune Magazine Group at AOL Time Warner. She also writes a Love & Money column, about how financial issues affect relationships, for The New York Times Sunday business section.

Previously, she was Vice President of Editorial Development at Oxygen Media. Ms. Spragins was also a contributing editor to Newsweek magazine from 1994 to 1999, where she wrote on a variety of consumer-oriented topics. While at Newsweek, she won the National Press Club’s Consumer Journalism Award in 1997 and the Clarion Award in 1998.

Francine Moccio, PhD., is currently the Director of the Institute for Women and Work at Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Previously, Francine was Assistant Professor and Director of Working Women's Studies Program at the State University of New York, Empire State College. Over the past fifteen years, she has worked closely with various businesses and labor organizations on working women's rights, work and family public policies and workplace practices.

Ms. Moccio has also worked with legislative bodies on issues affecting women in the workplace, such as sex and wage discrimination, preventing sexual harassment, collective bargaining issues, and union leadership training. She has published articles on working women's rights and the changing nature of work and family life. Currently, she is a Task Force Member of the National Women's Coalition for Labor Reform, and has appeared on numerous television and radio shows and in newspapers and magazines as an expert in her field. Ms. Katen is on the Board of the General Motors Corporation, the Board of the Harris Corporation, and also serves on the International Council of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.

Ms. Katen was named one of the "50 Most Powerful Women in Business" by Fortune magazine and one of the "25 Top Executives" by Business Week magazine. She has also received a host of awards for her commitment to community and improving public health.

Debra Kelly-Ennis is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Saab Cars USA. Ms. Kelly-Ennis joined General Motors in 1999 as the brand manager for Chevrolet S-10 trucks, and in June of 2000 she was promoted to the position of general manager of GM's Oldsmobile Division and led its phase-out.

Ms. Kelly-Ennis has held a number of non-automotive marketing and sales leadership roles as well as general management positions with leading companies such as RJR/Nabisco and Grand Metropolitan, PLC. She has been active in community affairs, leading GM's 2002 United Way campaign. She was also recognized by Automotive News as one of the top 100 leading women in the automotive world.

A graduate of the University of Texas, Ms. Kelly-Ennis received a BS in edu- cation in 1979; MBA in marketing at the University of Houston in 1981; and she participated in the executive leadership program at Harvard Business School in 2001.
