The Sudbury Community Health Centre opened in early 2015, providing state of the art health facilities for people in and around Sudbury, representing a significant achievement for the NHS and local people who played a significant role in making the project happen. The new facility delivers a range of local healthcare services including the Siam GP surgery and replaces Walnuttree, St Leonard’s and Acton Lane clinics. A new pharmacy will soon open at the health centre. MENTAL HEALTH Provider: Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust

Sudbury, Great Cornard and the surrounding area is covered by the Bury South Integrated Delivery Team (IDT), based in Bury St Edmunds but operating from a satellite base in the new health centre. This supports individuals with mental health problems and learning disabilities, and their families, across the age range from children to adults. Input is provided for a a number of different groups. Child and Family - for children and young people up to the age of 13 (appointments are generally offered in Bury St Edmunds). Youth - 14 to 25, age appropriate support is offered to young people who may be developing a mental health difficulty. Adult and Enhanced Community - for people over 25 with significant mental health difficulties. Complexity in Later Life - any older person with complex needs or early dementia. Neuro Developmental Pathway - all adult service users with moderate learning disabilities and significant mental health needs or challenging behaviour. The aim is to support individuals and their families to achieve their desired goals. For all current service users call 01284 733 188. MIDWIVES The Gainsborough Midwifery Team Daily (antenatal) and twice weekly is part of West Suffolk NHS (postnatal) Foundation Trust.
