THE WILDLIFE CONSERVATION (VALUATION OF TROPHIES) REGULATIONS, 2012

Citation and 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Commencement Wildlife Conservation (Valuation of Trophies) Regulations, 2012 and shall come into operation on the date of publication.

Interpretation 2. In these Regulations unless the context otherwise requires: Cap 283 “Act” means the Wildlife Conservation Act.

Value of trophies 3.-(1) The value of any trophy for the purpose of proceedings for an offence under the Act shall be the value of US Dollars or its equivalent as specified in the second column of the First Schedule to these Regulations. (2) Except where it is otherwise provided, the value of any part of the shall be calculated to be the value of the entire animal unlawfully hunted.

Trophy Valuation 4. The Trophy Valuation Certificate to be signed Certificate by the Director or wildlife officers from the rank of wildlife officer as stipulated under section 86(4) of the Act shall be in the form as prescribed in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.

Revocation of 5. The Certificate of Value of Trophies By- GN. No. 676 of 1995 Laws is hereby revoked.
