Konev. The following decisions were made at the meeting of the Political Consultative Committee: 1. To approve the meeting’s schedule as proposed by the representative of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, Comrade Yugov: 1) Exchange of opinions about the current international situation; 2) Report of the Supreme Commander of the Unified Armed Forces on the conditions of the Unified Armed Forces, the new reductions in the Warsaw Treaty countries’ armed forces, and the withdrawal of Soviet troops from the territory of the Romanian People’s Republic. 3) Approval of the Declaration of the Warsaw Treaty Countries, accepting the language for a non-aggression pact between the Warsaw Treaty countries and the countries of NATO. 2. The Committee will hold a meeting on May 24. 3. Based on the exchange of opinions on the current international situation, it was decided to approve the language of the Warsaw Treaty countries’ declaration and the language for a non-aggression pact between the Warsaw Treaty countries and the NATO countries. 4. Regarding the report of the Supreme Commander of the Unified Armed Forces Comrade Konev: a) To approve the decision to reduce the Warsaw Treaty member-countries’ armed forces in 1958. b) To approve the decision to withdraw Soviet troops from Romania. c) To approve the report of the Supreme Commander of the Unified Armed Forces Comrade I. S. Konev and approve changes in the organized strength of troops detailed to the Unified Armed Forces. 5. As proposed by the Soviet Delegation, to relieve comrade A. I. Antonov of his duties as Secretary General of the Political Consultative Committee and elect comrade N.S. Patolichev to this position.
