Once a month, on a Sunday afternoon from November 2017 to April 2018, the hall at the Liskerrett Centre has been the place where community musicians, singers, contemporary dancers and a film maker have been collaborating to develop a performance piece to perform at Sterts Theatre on April 21st.

It’s four years now since Patrick Bailey, professional conductor/composer/musician, first contacted Liskeard’s Vital Spark arts collective as part of the London Philharmonia Orchestra’s community outreach work in Cornwall to see if we’d like to work with him. As a result, Liskeard’s Sounds Vital was born and a call was put out for all musicians and singers of any age and ability to come and join us.

Sounds Vital is a music project with a difference. Rather than performing already composed music, we create our own compositions with Patrick’s support and guidance.
