INTRODUCTION Page 3 1.1 The Content and Purpose of the Design and Access Statement 1.1.1 This Design and Access Statement (DAS) forms part of an application for planning permission by MVV Devonport Environmental Limited (MVV) for the construction and operation of an Energy from Waste Combined Heat and Power Facility (EfW CHP Facility) on land currently situated in the north east part of Her Majesty’s Naval Base (HMNB) Devonport, Plymouth. This DAS has been prepared by URS/Scott Wilson Limited (project Planning and Environmental Consultant) and Savage Figure 1.1: View across Harbour (Photograph provided by the MoD) and Chadwick (project Architect) on behalf of MVV. 1.1.2 The planning application is also 1.1.3 Section 42 of the 2004 Planning and design” as a main objective of the planning accompanied by a Planning Application Compulsory Purchase Act introduced the system. Accessible Walks in South East Cornwall
Lostwithiel Riverside Walk, Lostwithiel PL22 OBS Park along the quayside in Lostwithiel, where there is no charge. With your back to the river ACCESSIBLE WALKS IN follow the road to your left, this is an ideal spot for a short stroll (15-20mins) tracking the River Fowey as it meanders through Coulson Park and then Shirehall Moor. The well defined SOUTH EAST CORNWALL path is suitable for wheelchairs and prams up until the start of the moor where it then narrows. In Coulson Park you’ll find a fenced children’s play area and picnic benches dotted along the route. Retrace your steps back to the beginning of the walk Cadsonbury Riverside Walk, Newbridge, nr Callington Take the A390 road from Liskeard to Callington. The road drops into a river valley and crosses a bridge at a place called Newbridge. Immediately before the bridge turn right along a small country lane, to a small National Trust car park about 100 metres on the right. From the car park there is a short level walk, suitable for all ,along good surfaces, that follows the wide shallow River Lynher. As the footpath ends you can either retrace your route alongside the river or follow the peaceful country lane back to the car park. For the more active, there are wonderful far reaching views from the top of Cadsonbury Hill Fort, an impressive iron age fortification. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, Torpoint PL10 1HZ The multi-use trail at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park is designed for cyclists, walkers and riders to share. The trail is also accessible for wheelchair users. -

TP Our Project Partners This title has appeared regularly in the help in researching a community project newsletter but without comment, and only one described in a later article. We would be enquiry, yet it is a concept of great importance pleased to publish reports of any project to the future of the House. It first appeared using the suite, however small. CHAHP will in relation to the Caradon Hill Area Heritage soon come to the end of its allotted lifespan Project. This had to convince the Heritage but its legacy is already established. Lottery Fund that it enjoyed the support and could count on the participation, of other groups in the community. -

Last year we launched our ‘MBA Way’ which everyone has embraced and which is now starting to show some amazing results. In conjunction with our High Performance Learning and commitment to Global Goals, they are now all embedded in our school life and providing the focus for our learning. “Empathy is seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another and feeling with the heart of another.” Alfred Adler This week in our Crew Meetings we have been looking at the way in which we celebrate our students excelling in their work or behaviour. They also gave their views on how they could be rewarded with a system to replace the Vivo system we have used in the past. After half term we will be introducing the MBA passport, a new way to record our excellent work and celebrate the success that this can bring. Students will be able to receive credits from staff and tutors that can be converted to points and exchanged in the school shop for prizes. My colleagues have also been working hard planning for our forthcoming Project Week and I am pleased to GLOBAL CHAMPION say that up to 30 students will be working with Miss Wheeler to reinstate our poly tunnel into the new community GrowSpace. In keeping with our policy to re-use and recycle as much as we can, we have appealed to the local community for any surplus compost, pots and tools which we will be using to grow food for a number of local groups including the Street Food Project Penzance. -
