What geographical area Pan-Wales does the organisation / Majority of current engagement in and Valleys project serve?

Main Activity To be a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy and participate in the Core purpose of arts. organisation / project As the Centre moves into its next decade of existence further focus will be placed on engagement with communities / Schools / families within areas of deprivation, with Children and young people being a high priority for the Centre moving forward.

Recent, existing and Tiger Bay Tales - The project involves collecting the oral histories / stories from emergent Activities both existing and ex residents of /Tiger Bay. All the stories will be held on an interactive website as well as ‘listening pods’ in spaces across the City. A shortlist of relevant to From Fort Pit stories will be selected with an interactive blue plaque trail created throughout to Port project: Butetown to share the vibrant history of the locale. The project is due to culminate in Spring 2016 and has been supported by Heritage Lottery Fund. There are likely to be future developments in bringing the stories to life through various art forms. Project collaborators include People’s Collection.

The Centre also works on numerous Community Engagement initiatives that celebrate and share culture including Black History Month, Refugee Week, Diwali and Chinese New Year. Resources available: Some support for the application could be offered via our Development Department.

These could include The Centre regularly hosts exhibitions / installations of various scales and exhibition both inside and outside the Centre could be possible administration for bid development, collections, exhibition space, access to Partner Profile

other artists, funds for The Centre hosts free weekly and holiday family activity and therefore could support activities etc. by theming & linking the activity to this project, offering free educational family activity

Our public spaces could also be made available for celebration / networking events.

We also have a function room that supports start-up companies (creative or otherwise) by offering free meeting/rehearsal space, subject to availability this room and other Centre function rooms could be made available to support artists meeting / rehearsing.
