Pulmonology at Berkeley Outpatient Center
Overview Pulmonology Services is one of several specialty services available at the Berkeley Outpatient Center. We specialize in disorders of the lungs, including comprehensive care for people with all types of interstitial lung disease (ILD) as well as sleep disorders. We review each case thoroughly to optimize disease and symptom management and communicate directly with patients and their referring doctors to assure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up.
When to refer patients: Patients who experience any of the following symptoms should be referred to Pulmonology. • Have diffi culty breathing • Have trouble exercising • Smoking • Have a persistent cough due to breathing • CPAP user • Regularly cough up blood problems • Snoring or mucus • Sleep apnea
