Playing Card Fitness Directions Exercise for the Mind & Body

It’s important to always keep our fitness routines fresh so that they remain new and exciting, and doing it with family only adds to the fun! These playing card fitness are design to always keep you guessing what exercise is coming up next, or how many you’ll have to do it. There are plenty of choices so that you can customize your workout to make it unique. Both games, Fitness Uno and Fitness , are very similar games that are structured the same way. Our hope is that most families will have either an Uno cards deck or a traditional playing cards deck, and that is why we have provided multiple options.

To start a game, shuffle the deck of cards and place them on the floor in the middle of all players. Make sure that you have enough space around you to safely exercise. One at a time, players will select a card that tells them what to do. The number on the card tells the player how many repetitions of an exercise to do (or how many seconds to hold a stretch for), while the exercises are determined by either the color or suit of the card, depending on which game you’re playing. Each color or suit has a correlating area of fitness that gives some options of exercises you can choose from. If you pick a specialty card, like a or a 4, refer to the chart down below to see what each card means! After completing your challenge, you have earned that card and get to keep it until the game ends. Check the last page for a post- game math challenge, and for more details on scoring (if you would like to).
