Israel-Turkey relations had already been broken after Israel’s offensive in Gaza between December 2008 and January 2009. Turkey voiced strong disapproval of this attack, which killed more than a thousand civilians. When, at the 2009 Davos Summit, Turkey’s then Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Israeli President Simon Peres sat on the same panel, Erdoğan criticized Peres severely for his country’s offensive in Gaza, accusing Israel of conducting “state terrorism” and walked out of the panel. But diplomatic relations were still in place between the two countries until the Mavi Marmara flotilla crisis of May 2010. The Mavi Marmara was a humanitarian aid vessel that aimed to break the sea blockade on Gaza. While it held both Turkish and non-Turkish activists, the initiative was organized by a Turkish humanitarian aid organization (İHH, İnsani Yardım Vakfı) and the vessel carried the Turkish flag. Israel did not allow the vessel to reach Gaza’s port and İHH refused to dock in the Ashdod port, consequently, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) raided the flotilla, killing nine people of Turkish origin and one American Turkish citizen.

While that speech took a slightly tongue in cheek approach to the history of BSVT; as we begin year twenty-six I would like to a moment to explore what BSVT is about today. Being mature; at least in part; is being able to have greater breadth in viewing your role / responsibilities. B’nai Shalom v’Tikvah is no longer the congregation that hopes to provide a Hebrew school for your children, a place to come and worship in a liberal Jewish environment and an organization that provides for your life cycle needs. BSVT has accomplished that! In my view, being mature, means taking an important place in your community as well. Bhavikatti 1 Mallikarjun.Mugali 2 1,2Dept of CSE, BKIT, Bhalki, Karnataka State, India ABSTRACT In this paper, VHDL modeling of the SRAM module and State Machine Controller (SMC) module of RC4 stream cipher algorithm for Wi-Fi encryption is proposed. Various individual modules of Wi-Fi security have been designed, verified functionally using VHDL-simulator. In cryptography RC4 is the most widely used software stream cipher and is used in popular protocols such as Transport Layer Security (TLS) (to protect Internet traffic) and WEP (to secure wireless networks). While remarkable for its simplicity and speed in software, RC4 has weaknesses that argue against its use in new systems. It is especially vulnerable when the beginning of the output key stream is not discarded, or when nonrandom or related keys are used; some ways of using RC4 can lead to very insecure cryptosystems such as WEP . Many stream ciphers are based on linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs), which, while efficient in hardware, are less so in software.

    EDUCATED DECISION-MAKING SAMUEL NEAMAN INSTITUTE ANNUAL REPORT 2011 Samuel Neaman Institute Technion For Advanced Studies in Science and Technology Israel Institute of Technology ABOUT THE SAMUEL NEAMAN INSTITUTE The Samuel Neaman Institute was established in 1978 in the Technion at Mr. Samuel Neaman’s initiative. It is an independent multi-disciplinary national policy research institute. The activity of the institute is focused on issues in science and technology, education, economy and industry, physical infrastructure and social development which determine Israel’s national resilience. Policy research and surveys are executed at the Samuel Neaman Institute and their conclusions and recommendations serve the decision makers at various levels. The policy research is conducted by the faculty and staff of the Technion and scientists from other institutions in Israel and abroad and specialist from the industry. The research team is chosen according to their professional qualifications and life achievements. In many cases the research is conducted by cooperation with governmental offices and in some cases at the initiative of the Samuel Neaman institute and without direct participation of governmental offices. So far, the Samuel Neaman Institute has performed hundreds of exploratory policy research projects and surveys that serve decision makers and professionals in economy and government. In particular the institute plays an important role in outlining Israel’s national policies in science, technology and higher education. Furthermore, the Institute supports national projects, such as the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Labor clusters - the MAGNET program in nano-technologies, media, optics and communication, chemistry, energy, environmental and social projects of national importance. The institute organizes also comprehensive seminars in its leading fields of research.

The Israeli settlement of Pisgat Ze’ev lies beyond in East Jerusalem. This publication takes its point of departure from Fazal Sheikh’s Memory Trace, the first of his three-volume photographic proj- ect on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Published in the spring of 2015, The Erasure Trilogy is divided into three separate vol- umes—Memory Trace, Desert Bloom, and Independence/Nakba. The project seeks to explore the legacies of the Arab–Israeli War of 1948, which resulted in the dispossession and displacement of three quarters of the Palestinian population, in the establishment of the State of Israel, and in the reconfiguration of territorial borders across the region. Elements of these volumes have been exhibited at the Slought Foundation in Philadelphia, Storefront for Art and Architecture, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the Pace/MacGill Gallery in New York, and will now be presented at the Al-Ma’mal Foundation for Contemporary Art in East Jerusalem, and the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah. In addition, historical documents and materials related to the history of Al-’Araqīb, a Bedouin village that has been destroyed and rebuilt more than one hundred times in the ongoing “battle over the Negev,” first presented at the Slought Foundation, will be shown at Al-Ma’mal.
