Soner Polat is an associate professor at Kocaeli University Faculty of Educa- tion in the Department of Educational Administration, from where he received his doctorate in 2007. He has 20 years of experience in various academic positions, also worked as a teacher in various levels of education. His research interests are diversity management, peace education, and organisational image.

Gizem Günçavdı works as a research assistant at Kocaeli University. The editor is studying PhD on Educational Administration since 2015. In the previous years, the editor took part in projects related to Peace Education. Most of the projects were about training prospective teachers for peace education. The editor organized four projects related to this. In addition to them, the editor organized a workshop together with colleagues from the UK. They discussed the peace education process in both and the UK. Related to peace education, the editor works multicultural personalities of school administrators for the PhD dissertation.

Mualla Aksu started her career as a primary school teacher in 1971. After eight years of teaching profession, she received her undergraduate degree from . In 1983, she started to work as an educational specialist in the Ministry of National Education, and at the same time she got her master’s degree in the field of Educational Administration and Supervision at the same university. In 1991, she completed her PhD at in the same field. She worked as an instructor and assistant professor at Fırat University and as an associate professor and full professor at İnönü University. She has still been continuing her academic studies as a professor at since 2005. About the Contributors

Türkan Argon graduated from Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University Faculty of education in 1993. She completed her master’s degree in education management and planning at Abant Izzet Baysal University (1997) and her Ph. D. in education management and planning at Abant Izzet Baysal University (2001). She was awarded an associate professorship in education management and supervision in 2011 and a professor in 2016. Argon is a professor at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University, where she started as a research assistant in 1993. During this period, she served in many administrative positions. She has studied Human Resource Management, Educational Management, School/classroom management, organizational behavior, etc. And has published books, book chapters, and many National/International articles and papers.

Didem Çelik Yılmaz graduated from , Faculty of Letters, Department of English language and literature in 2002. In the same year, she started teaching English at a private educational institution in Ankara. Çelik Yilmaz has been teaching English under the Ministry of education since 2004 and completed her master’s degree in education management and planning at Abant Izzet Baysal University in 2017. She is currently studying for her Ph.D. in education management and planning at Abant Izzet Baysal University. Çelik Yılmaz, whose work has been published in many international and national journals, is interested in topics such as educational sociology, organizational psychology, leadership, and lifelong learning.

Yusuf Cerit is a Professor of Educational Faculty at Abant Izzet Baysal Uni- versit. Her research interests include principals’ roles and leadership, and teachers’ accountability. mobbing.

Levent Durdu graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology (CEIT) with a bachelor’s degree. He received his master’s degree in 2003 and his doctorate in 2010 from METU CEIT program. He worked as a research assistant at METU CEIT between 2000-2007, as an expert in TÜBİTAK Bilimce project between 2007-2008, and as a part-time lecturer at Doğuş University between 2008-2010. Since 2011, he has been working in Kocaeli University Department of CEIT. He is working as a full-time faculty member. His research focuses on the use of technology in teacher education, TPACK in particular, project-based learning and online learning envi- ronments. His research interests include open and distance learning and the use of games in educational settings, including digital games for peace education.

Ibrahim Hakan Karatas, after his BA and MA in Turkish language and lit- erature, earned his Ph.D. in 2008 in Educational Leadership. He spent five years writing course books for high school literature and Turkish language, as well as elementary level course books. He taught in K-12 schools in Turkey for 12 years and in 2010, he began working as an assistant professor at the Department of Educa- tional Administration and Supervision at Medeniyet University in Istanbul, Turkey. Karatas is currently the head of the Educational Administration Department at Istanbul Medeniyet University. He had been in the USA as visiting scholar for a year of post-doctoral studies on modeling a school principals’ training preparation program for Turkey in Educational Leadership at the University of Northern Iowa.

Fatma Köybaşı Şemin was born in Nevşehir in 1984. After completion of her elementary, middle and high school education in Nevşehir, then, she obtained BSc in Primary School Math Teacher Training from Kocaeli University in 2006; MSc from and PhD from Inonu University in 2009 and 2016 respectively. She worked as a math teacher in Ministry of National Education in 2008-2015. She published about twenty scientific publications, about eleven presentations at scientific conferences. Her research interests include educational management and supervision and educational topics especially sustainability of education. Rüyam Küçüksüleymanoğlu is in Educational Sciences department at Uludag University, Bursa, Turkey. She completed her Masters and Ph. D. degrees on Edu- cational Planning Administration Supervision and Economy. She has conducted national and international projects especially on international students, social respon- sibility and social entrepreneurship. She has several academic studies, on education especially strategic planning, international students, organizational behaviour and human resource management. She has been lecturing in bachelor and master degrees.

Şenay Sezgin Nartgün is working as a full-time professor at Abant Izzet Baysal University, Department of Educational Sciences. She has PhD in Educational Admin- istration. Organizational culture, teachers’ self-efficacy, educational administration are some of her research areas.

Michael Re’vell is a Professor at Prince George’s Community College in Maryland where his research interest includes exploring the interaction between Restorative Practices and Culturally Responsive Teaching. As an IIRP licensed Restorative Practice trainer, Dr. Re’vell strives to increase student achievement by developing restorative routes that lead toward safe and supportive teaching and learning. Dr.

Celal Teyyar Uğurlu completed his elementary education in Malatya and his secondary education in Malatya and Istanbul. In 1990, he graduated from Atatürk University Classroom Teaching Program. Then, in 1998, he graduated from İnönü University Educational Administration and Supervision undergraduate program. In 2000, he received his master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervi- sion from the same university. Between 1990 and 1999, he worked as a classroom teacher, and from 1999 to 2010, he worked as a primary school inspector in Sivas, Hatay and Adıyaman. In 2010, Assoc. as an academician. Celal Teyyar Uğurlu, who became Associate Professor in February 2014, is currently working at Cumhuriyet University.
