ALL-STARS HOOPS, THE ULTIMATE 5-ON-5 BASKETBALL COMPETITION! - The Champion clinched RM5,000 cash prize, trophy and goodies bag worth RM500 - KUALA LUMPUR, 3 August 2011 – The inaugural S.O.X. All-Stars Hoops crowned its first Champion, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Methodist (ACS), that walked away with RM5,000 cash prize, trophy and goodies bag worth RM500. The Champion emerged triumphant after battling 15 other teams from all over the country. The Grand Finals took place last Saturday, 30 July 2011 at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort, Indoor Basketball Court, Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, Lim Yong Aun, 17 from Hua Lian High School were chosen as the Most Valuable Player and he took home RM500 cash prize, trophy and goodies bag worth RM500. The second prize winner were awarded RM3,000 prize money, trophy and goodies bag worth RM300 while the third prize winner won RM2,000 cash prize, trophy and goodies bag worth RM200. The fourth prize winner garnered RM500 cash, trophy and goodies bag worth RM100. All-Stars programme kicked off with S.O.X. All-Stars March and Cheer in year 2009. Four preliminary rounds were held nationwide namely at Sarawak (East Malaysia); Kuala Lumpur (Central Region); Melaka (Southern Region) and Perak (Northern Region) whereby the top 4 teams from each preliminary rounds travelled from their respective states to the Grand Finals event in Kuala Lumpur.
